Those that use a cock ring, do you wait until you get hard and then put it on or put it on after you inject and as you get hard, it helps to keep the blood in?

I think the "taking off after 20 minutes" applies if you're using a very tight constriction ring to maintain an erection when using a VED only for an erection suitable for penetration without injection. The test would be if your penis is getting cold, then remove after 20 or 30 minutes for sure. A ring used in conjunction with injections should be stretchy and easily removed while erect and your penis should remain warm while in place. This type of soft stretchy ring would not be tight enough to maintain much of an erection if just pumping with a VED, but does help with firmness (if needed) when injecting.
