Moving from Trimix-5 to Trimix-8

I’ve been using Trimix -5 for about a year now and am currently using 70 units at a time. I suggested a stronger formulation to my uro and he put me on Trimix-8. Has anyone moved up like this? Did you start at 20 units again and ramp up as needed? Any help appreciated.

It's difficult to comment without knowing the makeup of trimix-5 and trimix 8 from your pharmacy. Not all compounding pharmacies use the same formulations or formulation name. It sounds like a big jump but may not be... just depends on the actual formulations.

Having said that... When I moved up from one strength to another my urologist told me to use 1/2 of the previous dose as a titration starting point. For example when I used 45 units and then switched to a stronger formulation my new starter was 20 units.

Definitely use less until you find the correct dosage. I was using 60-80 units of Trimix and got switched to Quadmix. 80 units of Trimix was getting me a 90% erection for 30 minutes. My first dose of Quadmix was 20 units, which kept me up for 3+ hours.

For what it’s worth I’m glad I moved to Trimix-8 from Trimix-5. I’m using 25 units now as opposed to 70 with Trimix-5. More bang for my buck and less substance injected.

What is the Trimix 8 formula? I feel like I need a little bit stronger, but my urologist doesn’t want to prescribe anything stronger that what he has me own now.

What's the difference between Trimix 5 and Trimix 6? I've been taking Trimix for over 10 years now and never heard of either of them. I just know Trimix by the individual strength of each ingredient
