Is the scarring risk of injections so high that it appears in this forum or are just the results biased because those who have problems and get an implant come more often in this forum?
Do you know people who have used this solution long term ?

Scarring risk of injections
Venous like since I was 20 years old. Pills don't work too well. Thinking of implant in the future

Your "bias" question is one that I have tried to get my head-around (pardon the pun) in the five years since joining this, and other forums, since my October 2018 prostatectomy resulting in my erectile dysfunction. Wish we could apply some AI to explain and understand the "bias" factor.
I'm a newbie to injections compared to others on FrankTalk. I've plunged several hundred needles into my penis since May of 2019. The results? About 98% of the time a firm erection, no pain, and no bleeding. I have not observed any indication of scarring to this point.
Born 1955, Erectile Dysfunction, Robotic Prostatectomy (Oct 2018, Dr Bugg @ UCA, Birmingham, AL), PSA<0.007, Trimix User (30 mg Papaverine HCL, 1 mg Phentolamine MES, 10 mcg Alprostadil per 1 ML. My dose is 0.16 ML)

From the Journal of Urology 1996:Penile scarring with intracavernous injection therapy using prostaglandin E1: a risk factor analysis
"Purpose: We attempted to identify risk factors for penile scarring in patients using prostaglandin E1 injection therapy.
Materials and methods: Records of 92 patients using prostaglandin E1 therapeutically were reviewed. With statistical methods, patients with (15) and without (77) scarring were compared.
Results: No significant differences between the 2 groups were found regarding duration of followup, injection frequency, prostaglandin E1 dose per injection, total number of injections or total prostaglandin E1 dose. Patients with initial penile scarring did not have a significantly higher incidence of further scarring with prostaglandin E1.
Conclusions: Penile scarring with prostaglandin E1 injection therapy is sporadic and unpredictable. Patients with initial penile scarring do not have a higher incidence of further scarring."
Most references I've seen (not from the pharmacies or mens health practices that profit from the sale of trimix) say it's a low probability and the you can reduce the likelihood of scarring by limiting use to 2-3 times per week and varying the injection site from side to side and at different points along the length of the shaft. Also some sites say applying pressure to the injection site for a couple of minutes following the injection reduces the incidence of scarring.

Re: Scarring risk of injections
Scarring is not limited to injections.
The most common cause of scarring is sexual injuries, often woman-on-top positions.
Earlier this year, I unfortunately developed Peyronies Disease.
I noticed the curvature as I was recovering from Pneumonia.
My urologist who prescribed Trimix did the ultrasound to confirm the plaque.
He never once suggested that Peyronies is from injections.
My scarring is on the dorsal area (very top) of the penis. Where I have never injected.
I am also part of two online PD (Peyronies) support groups.
Although they are not large groups, I don't know of any in the group that have PD scarring attributed to injections.

Struggled with ED/PE for years.
Started using Trimix in May 2022 with very good results.
