Got prescribed biomix- questions

I had my appointment yesterday at a private clinic in Calgary. At the clinic, got injected with biomix - 8 units. Got a chubby after 15 minutes but some erection after 40 minutes (had left the clinic by then) which did not last more than 90 minutes. The nurse did a doppler and said that he was encouraged with the results and said that I had sufficient blood flow and was confident that biomix will work (once the right dose is found). He presribed super biomix (i think) which i would be getting tomorrow. It is expensive than what I thought. I bottle (5 ml) costing $230 dollars. I am told to start with 8 ml and increase in increments of 2 units until right dose is found. Was told to inject somewhere close to the base (which was what was done at the clinic). Anyone, out there, especially in Canada have any thoughts and tips. The bottle will have an expiry of one month but from what the nurse told me - it could last 3 months. Would appreciate feedback on this.
Chetan.

I guess you mean "Bimix." I use Trimix and have noticed no drop-off in its effect after six months in refrigerator at 4C(40F). Some guys freeze Trimix to extend its life, but I've not found that necessary. Five ml costs me USD135 here in U.S.
I inject both sides alternately, using almost my entire shaft length, to minimize any needle damage. I use the thinnest needles made, 31 gauge. (Some say there might be scarring in long-term use - others say no.)

Thanks Martin. Yes- I stand corrected. It should read "Bimix" not "biomix"- my bad. Thanks for your feedback. 135 USD roughly converts to 183 to 190 CAD- so I guess I am paying 40 to 50 CAD more which is ok.

Chetan.
I'm just going to assume you meant to say you were told to start at .08ml (8 units) and increase in increments of 2 units (.02ml).
That does sound expensive.
Why bi-mix rather than tri-mix or even alprostadil mono-mix?

Thanks bldoink for your PM. Yes, I am getting used to this. He said to start with 8 units (and not 8 ml) and increase 2 units every time. The nurse provider thinks that I should be doing good with bimix as trimix may be a bit too strong.

Doing a bit of math. LOL.
If you only needed 10 units that's almost 50 injections. So not bad.
If you needed 20 units per injection that's almost 25 injections.
As far as the expiry date mine says 30 days. However, my urologist said it should last a year if kept in the refrigerator as long as the mixture is clear.
I just got a new vial, and my older vial lasted one year, and I did not notice any decrease in strength.
Mine cost $155 CAD. The total amount included the price of the individual ingredients.

Thanks Sogwap. Picked up the prescription yesterday from the pharmacy. The pharmacist was super helpful- took me to a private room to explain the details. My nurse had prescribed me phenyleprine for priapism but the pharmacist recommended me to take sudafed instead and told me that instead of worrying on diluting thephenyleprine etc, better to go to emergency to deal if I do experience longer erections. I plan to start my first injection tonite. Lets see how it goes.

Let us know how it goes.
Getting the correct dosage can take several attempts. Start low and increase dosage as needed.
My first injection was a success. But because of my years of ED, I had to relearn how to have sex.
My second injection missed the target. I was like WFT? Thankfully I learned and haven't missed the target since.

Thanks sogwap. Did the injection tonight with 8 ml as instructed at 1 hour on the left side as had it on the right side in the clinic on Sunday. Immediately after a couple of minutes- started to feel the effect. After fifteen minutes, started to get full erection. Its been half an hour and I think it is good quality erection- ranging between 7 to 9. Will update how it went, tomorrow.

Update: The results were great. I got a perfect erection that was on a scale of 9 after 20 to 25 minutes after the injection. It lasted for 2 hours. Although, I did not have sex - wife was tired- I didn't insist- as I wanted to see how long the erection lasts. So, I am very happy. I will try another one tonite - this side will try on the right side. Just to clarify, as my nurse suggested, I took the injection at the base (around 1" from the base end) and after I took it, I was told to pinch the hold the sides of the base for about 30 seconds (to ensure it doesn't come back and goes forward where it is supposed to go). Also, I massaged the area of the injection - sort of to spread the injected liquid everywhere in the thing. Anyways, 8 units seem to work- will see tonite if works on the right as well. Thanks guys for listening/reading.
