Injections over pills just for preference

The escalation of treatment for ED seems to be, in order:
Pills, increase dosage, add pump cock ring, injections, implant.

Notwithstanding the above protocols, are there many skipping to injections even though the pills work? For me I can get the pills to work I’m just tired of the side effects (mild but just makes me feel shitty). I really had to arm twist the doc to get the injections which I will be starting in several weeks.

So I guess another way of asking my question is whether it’s crazy for me to be jumping to injections.

I used the pills for 10+ years successfully, but also got tired of the side effects (they got worse over time too). My doc had no issue moving me to bimix injections. My only advice is to ensure you have a Uro that knows how to dose bimix or trimix as you don't want to be oversubscribed (first injection should be in the office). Oh, and I'm loving the injections, as well does my wife!

Thanks for the feedback. I’m hoping for the best and after this is settled will change Uro to one that I can build a better rapport with.

My uro also had no objections to trying injecting since the pills were not effective anymore. If he had given objections I would have done some arm twisting. I don’t miss the side effects of them and the wife and I are absolutely loving trimix. It works great for me.

You pretty much have the progression correct. Us guys keep trying the simplest route to fix it, next step, next step.
The side effect from pills did me in too, migraine the next day. On top of not being very reliable.
Injections were great, at first. Same thing as with pills, keep increasing the dose to work. Until they didn't, and side effect of an achy member the next day made me stop.
Hope you find injections work well.

Many people don't have to progress to the implant and use the pills mixed with the injections for the long haul. It seems that many go to the implant because of the inconvenience of the injections as it gets old keeping it cold, transporting and well sticking a needle in your dick.

Nothing crazy about it.
Having side effects of pills is one of the reasons men start using injections.

There is one downside to injections.

Since starting Trimix I ask my wife if she wants to continue before doing the injection.
When I used Viagra I sometimes would take the pill. Since it takes at least 15 minutes to start working. If sex did not happen I tried and was at least hopeful that it would happen.
However, with Trimix depending on how reactive you are to Trimix you may be left with a hard-on for longer than you want. For some guys that could mean 1-2 hours or longer.

You left one out.
Trimix with a cock ring. That is where I am at and why I am now moving onto an implant.
Worsening venous leakage as a result of the Trimix use and aging prompted me to begin having to use a cock ring as well to maintain a sufficient hardness.
Now even the Trimix and cock ring are not giving me what I want.
It is all an ongoing progression to "the final frontier" of an implant.
Glad that I went through all of the options, however, to get to this point and am now excited to experience the positives I have heard relative to the implant

I prefer Trimix to pills. While pills work 90% of the time, Trimix is 100%. Also I know for sure it will last a long time. I only use pills when traveling.

Why hasn't Tri-mix jell or muse put into the urethra been mentioned as an alternative step ? Just wondering. Low dose trimix was very painful to me (allergic to it) and erections lasted 3 hrs or more. I used trimix Gell to fill out my glans with the implant. Works pretty good increasing blood flow where nerves are dead after RP.
