changing syringe size

I have a dumb question that I think I know the answer to but since the consequences are pretty severe if I don't understand this, I'm going to ask. I use ten units in a 1/2" 30 ga 100 unit syringe. I'm thinking about going to a 30 unit 5/16" 31 ga 30 unit syringe.

Is ten units in one the same amount as ten units in the other?

Syringes for human insulin (as opposed to veterinary animal insulin) are U-100 insulin syringes. U-100 insulin units will be the same amount for all U-100 insulin syringes. That's 100 units per ml. The .3cc/ml syringes will just have marks in smaller amounts. 5 units will still be 5 units but the .3cc/ml syringes will also likely have 1/2 of a unit marks as well as marks for each unit. My .3cc/ml Easy Touch syringes have actual numbered marks every 5 units up to 30 and smaller unnumbered marks every 1/2 unit.
