Guys,
I have a guy looking for a travel case for prefilled trimix syringes. Of course, it has to protect the plungers from getting pushed in...and need to keep them cold.
What do you guys use? Suggestions?
Paul

My pharmacy sells a small travel case for insulin that would work for the Trimix- it has a place for the syringes-you could even prefill them for transport and a freezer ice pack to keep it cool. It is small and would not stay cold for very long but for short trips is should work until you get to your destination. Most hotel rooms these days have a fridge and if all esle fails throw in in you cooler along with you beverages. I do not travel anywhere without a small cooler with me. Go to Amazon they have several to chose from and are under $40.00 Happy Travels with Happy Endings Jim

Paul, I have no suggestions regarding the travel case you seek. But am wondering. Have you tried Edex in place of Trimix? I get the same if not better results with Edex and it is so much easier to story and carry. I love the indivdual doseages. No refigeration needed. It is so much more convenient that I can't imagine going back to Trimix.

I've done both and I find that it's simpler to take empty syringes and a vial of happy juice packed with a frozen cold pack. Prefilled syringes require delicate handling of a sort. Not much, but still.

Antelope is right. Dont take the filled syringes and take the vial and empty syringes instead. I have a small, insulated bag with FREEZE Packs that will keep it cool for many hours. You can ger these at any sporting good store. Almost all hotels have refrigerators in the rooms so keeping it is no problem. Be sure to tell the TSA people a the airport. The only problem I had with taking Trimix on vacation is wanting to use it every day!!! LOL

Not necessary. It is none of their business. However, bring along a copy of the prescription in case any questions arise.

Traveled last month with tri-mix vial in a small baggy, nestled between ice packs. Empty syringes, and the box the tri-mix came in with prescription info just in case. TSA did not bat an eye.

Agree with others that pre-filled syringes is not a great idea.
