hello all
is priapism equals to a 100 or 90% fully erected penis that lasts over 3 hours or more? does that qualifies as priapism?
what happens if the erection fluctuates? from hard to soft every few minutes within the 3 hour window?

Ask your doctor. I'd say part of the answer would depend on how quickly you can get good medical assistance. I always figured the cut off was 4 hours but that doesn't wash if it takes hours to get medical assistance. If this is a major concern to you you should ask your doctor about an injectable antidote that some doctors readily prescribe. At a minimum get pseudoephedrine pills. That is the original Sudafed or a generic. Make sure it is pseudoephedrine. Sudafed sell other pills that are a substitute that isn't restricted. Stay away from those. You want straight pseudoephedrine and not the time release version.
For your second question, ASK YOUR DOCTOR! In my very humble non-medical expert opinion, well it depends. If you're going completely soft and then hard again I would assume you've had some blood exchange in your penis. That would be a good thing and I would think that would restart the clock to at least some degree. If it's fluctuating to soft every few minutes I would think your pretty safe.
In the past when I've approached or breached the 4 hour limit I've used what are sometimes referred to as reverse kegels. At least my understanding of reverse kegels. I'll assume you understand kegels.
Well for reverse kegels you specifically and consciously DO NOT tighten your kegel muscles. Try to relax them. At the same time you gently try a little pushing with your other abdominal muscles as if trying to have a BM. While doing this wrap one or two hands (in my case one with a little help from the other) around your dick and gently squeeze it. Be sure you're doing the reverse kegel while gently squeezing. Done correctly you should be able to deflate your dick to a substantial degree. It will likely reinflate but you will have caused some blood exchange and the prosess can be repeated to achieve further blood exchange. I've always done this while standing but I don't know if position has any effect on it. By the way, I've never found a discription of reverse kegels that seems particularly similar to my discription, sorry!
I would caution you to never squeeze very hard, trying to force blood out. I would suspect you could be putting stress on your valves by squeezing hard and may damage them. I've found, if while doing a reverse kegel, I can gently squeeze my dick and deflate it. If not doing the reverse kegel or by actually contracting the kegel muscles, which I think is a normal reaction during an erection or stress, you will be holding the blood in and gentle squeezing will accomplish nothing. You must do the reverse kegel while squeezing.
I've had success using the above described technique. I haven't noticed that I've done any harm to my self by doing it. I suspect there is risk involved, especially to your valves by using the technique especially if forced. I've never asked any medical professionals to review this technique or evaluate it's safety. So ask your doctor before trying it.
Good luck.

My Uro told me to try to bend it in half.

I recall when I went for my initial Trimix consultation my URO told me to wait in his waiting area after he settled on my response and dosage. After a half hour or so he called me back into the exam room to check on my erection. I still had quite a chubby thick hard like erection. Something I wasn't accustomed to and thought I had to stay longer before he would say I could go home. He examined me and basically told me I could go home and that if he could bend the erection I was out of the woods for any priapism. I have used that benchmark for the past 12 years and I've never had an instance where I thought a trip to the ER was necessary...Yes, I have had to use a bag of frozen peas between my legs at time, but that always worked in reducing the erection to a "safe" level.Good Luck..BTW: As an insurance policy I always keep a package of Sudafed in the medicine cabinet, just in care.

I also keep Sudafed (not timed release) and an ice pack handy. When I have sensed a problem, either of these two remedies have worked. I also have a prescribed Rx of injectable phenylephrine as a last ditch before going to the ER - haven't yet needed to use it.

My doc said ice pack between your legs and cold bath works most of the time if needed.

So I've just started using trimix. Post poned operation with Eid.
I've tirated to 8 clicks which is sufficent for sex. Problem is my they don't go away. Even if I only use 5 clicks they last 4-5.5hrs.
They're never really painful, just minor soreness, but the head does feel cold by the end.
I feel like it's always going down but just super slowly. Like at hour 3 it will still be hard enough for sex but not rock hard like it was originaly and only 60% size. I think the size thing is because I'm not longer turned on.
They've all gone away completely by hour 5 though. Is that anything to worry about priapism wise?
