Injections losing effectiveness after only 5 months; question about increasing amount in such a short period of time....

Hey all, I’m about 5 months into my journey with Trimix. It took about 4-6 weeks to get the hang of it with an autoinjector and being semierect. I use a VERY small dose for psychogenic ED (10/30/1 at 1 unit), which I found to be effective with an 80 to 90% erection; however, recently I’ve noticed that I’m only getting about 60% erect. My vials aren’t expired and I haven’t really changed my injection technique (at least not that I’m aware of). Is it possible that one would need a dose adjustment/increase in such a short period? Any insight/guidance for a newb would be greatly appreciated.

Probably no way to know for sure. If you need to adjust your dose a bit then just go for it. Also, how have your meds been kept. The alprostadil is more fragile than the other components and will degrade if not frozen. It's also possible your ED isn't totally psychogenic and the part not psychogenic has gotten worse.

Thanks for your reply! I keep the vials frozen. I guess I will experiment with an increase and will go slowly. Just a little surprised since only .1 ml was very effective only until recently.

I had a follow-up thought/question. I keep my vials frozen, but I defrost with warm/hot water prior to filling the syringe. Could that have diminishing results/impact on the alprostadil? Is there a better approach to thawing? Any advice/clarification/insight appreciated.

In your case I wouldn't have any idea if that has negatively affected your meds. However, I wouldn't use hot water. My vials are smaller than most at 1ml but they thaw so fast at room temperature I rarely worry about it. If I'm in a hurry I just hold the vial inside my fist for a couple of minutes. They really do thaw quickly.

I pre-load 10 injections at a time. I only use them about once every 10 days. I simply take out a syringe and lay it on the counter and while I used the VED for plumping up for the shot, the syringe basically thaws in that time, if not I roll it between my fingers until liquid. It goes in cold!

Thank you for the feedback! Much appreciated.

Thank you for this feedback! With this approach, do you need to load a little more than your actual dose in the syringe to account for the Trimix expanding in the freezer? I would imagine that some would ooze out when frozen.

No not at all, doesn't expand all that much and as it freezes so fast there is no oozing out at all. Its so much handier than thawing the entire vial each time. Makes it about as seamless and spontaneous as possible.

When I first get the vial of Trimix I pre-load about 6 syringes, and then freeze them and the remaining meds in the vial. When I know my GF and I will most likely be playing around I place a frozen syringe in the fridge a few hours before our "date". It thaws pretty quick and if I didn't take the syringe out of the freezer I'll put it on the counter and within 5-10 minutes it will thaw...I have held it in my palm to thaw quicker which also will work. I wouldn't by any means place the Trimix in hot water....It just sounds like that may effect the composition of the Trimix in a negative way.
