Hi guys.. A compound pharmacy says their trimix must NOT be kept in the freezer, it must be kept refrigerated upon receiving it. They said they never tested it frozen. They also say its stable refrigerated for 60 days.

This is weird since my other compound pharmacy that I used to get trimix from says their trimix should be kept in the freezer and that it lasts many months in the freezer.

I'm confused. I dont know what to make of this. I'd like to hear your thoughts on this please before I buy the trimix.

If you order through Olympia in Orlando then you can freeze it. If its only good for 60 days then thats alot of shagging.

I downloaded storage instructions that indicated trimix should never be frozen. My compounding pharmacy does not let me take the mix out of their store unless it is held in insulation with dry ice pack.
When I was first introduced to the drug I researched FrankTalk and followed the directions to keep it frozen and have stored it over a year without noticable change. My pharmacist said it might last indefinitely frozen. I also purchased five, 1ml viles at a time. That way I only thaw one vile at a time. I also pre-fill ten syringes at a time and refreeze them until they are used.

You can keep it in the freezer. You can keep it in the fridge. Either will be fine.

If it is REALLY bothering you that the two pharmacies are telling you different things, call them and ask the pharmacist why. Then make you decision based on what they tell you.

My doctor keeps his supply refrigerated but he said to defer to the pharmacy's recommendation.

The pharmacist prefers that I keep it frozen and just warm it for a few seconds before withdrawing into the syringe, then put back in the freezer.

I've never found a need to freeze Trimix. I've used five-month-old Trimix refrigerated at 40F (4C) with no drop in effectiveness.

Anyone who wants a definite answer for his Trimix version could do solo experiments with pre-loaded syringes kept refrigerated for various periods.

I’ve frozen all my trimix vials since day one. vials have lasted over 18 months without a drop in efficacy. it really doesnt take very long to defrost it on my palm and load up a syringe, maybe a minute, and then right back to the freezer. now the ones i have left only refrigerated, only last maybe 6 months before i feel a loss in efficacy. yes, my pharmacy says to refrigerate but its has worked for me for over 2 years. that is just my experience.

I always freeze mine. I have to say though that it was about a year in the freezer and I was just running out. Ordered a refill from Olympia and when I used the fresh Trimix (exact same dosage) it seemed a lot better than what I had been using so maybe the older, frozen mix had lost a little zing. Either that or the girl was a lot better lol!
