Trimix Vial validity

Postby roy123 » Mon Nov 11, 2024 6:09 pm

Hello All

my trimix vial comes from the pharmacy that does not require freezing. it only requires refrigeration. each vial when it opens is valid for 28 days. the end date (28th day) is clearly marked on the vial.

my questions are:

1) can i use the vial on the 29th day and still get the same results?
2) are these dates only for legal reasons and one can use trimix beyond expiration date?
3) does the vial loses its efficacy as it approaches its ending date or does it work with same efficacy throughout the 28 day period?

please advise

I'm not a medical professional of any kind. Anything I post is based on my own experiences at best and hallucinations and/or delusions at worst. Internet forum advice is likely worth what you paid for it or worse.

The most fragile component of tri-mix is the alprostadil (PGE1). It will degrade over time, especially if not frozen. As long as the vial contents are sterile and kept that way it might not be harmful if older than the expiration date on the label. As for the alprostadil component it will degrade but then it depends how important the alprostal is to the efficacy of the mix. In some mixes, containing very small (relatively) amounts of alprostadil, it may make little noticable effect.

I freeze my mix and have used frozen mix that was well over a year old that was still effective, and more importantly, my dick didn't rot off. However, I use a straight alprostadil mono-mix. I believe others using tri-mix have reported similar expeirnces.

As always, ask your doctor and follow his/her advice.
