when i got my first 4 vials, i was only using trimix once a week. i froze all the vials and only thaw when injecting and then right back to frozen. those first 4 vials lasted over a year in the freezer with only the last vial where i noticed a drop in efficacy. i now use it more frequently but i still freeze them.

Re: How long does Trimix last frozen
I'm just finishing up the last of my Olympia trimix. It was prescribed in August of 2023 and it stayed in the freezer. It still seems fine although maybe it lost a little strength in over a year. I do 20 units of 30 3 40 (no, I don't remember what those go with) and I'm happy with it. I just re-ordered and I'm contemplating trying an old prescription injection and then, a couple of days later, a new prescription jab. But there's so many other factors so it's not really scientific. More fun than anything else. In any event, after almost 16 months, it seems fine.

How do you use it when frozen? Do you have to leave it out for several hours then draw what you need?
Thanks in advance advance

It will thaw in just several miutes. And you can speed that up by holding it in your clenched fist.markcatcash wrote:How do you use it when frozen? Do you have to leave it out for several hours then draw what you need?

It thaws very quickly so I never worry about it. Interestingly I found a vial in the back of my freezer that hadn't been opened but was prescribed in August of 2023. I asked the doc if I could still use it and she said that it may not be as effective but it would be safe to try. 20 units and I was rock hard.

I recommend that when you thaw the main vial out that you prepare 7-10 syringes and then freeze them as well. This way the mother vial stays frozen and is not thawed and refrozen a zillion times. Use the syringes as needed. Also when you thaw out the syringe ( I thaw out the syringe when I a plumping up with the VED) make sure you draw back the syringe, as if you press down the rubber stopper may adhere to the side a bit and then you can lose some trimix, by drawing back you free up the stopper and then you can press forward until you get a drop coming out the needle. Then your ready to go.

Great advice and many thanks for this!
Re: How long does Trimix last frozen
I've been freezing Trimix since I started using it some 10+ years ago. Sometimes I notice the efficacy drops off about the 9 month mark..and other times it seems to last a year. I do what the previous post says..I draw up about 8-10 syringes, and freeze both the vial and the syringes. If I know my GF is coming over I'll put a syringe in the fridge, from the freezer. By time we get down to business the syringe is thawed for use.
