Hi guys.. I don't really know the exact amount of trimix to use.
Last week, I injected 3 units on the right side. Nothing happened. So I injected on the left side with 3 units 15 minutes later. An erection then occurred.
2 days later, I injected 6 units on the left side. Nothing happened, maybe cuz I didn't inject deep enough. So 10 minutes later I injected 3 or 5 units. An erectiin then occurred.
So I really don't know what exact dosage to use. Can someone please help me with this?

What did your Doctor suggest ?
Re: Help!! - I Don't Know the Amount of Trimix to Use
macoza,
We have much to discuss here. I am no expert, but I can give you some direction with some of the fundamentals.
1. As jwjwjw mentioned, your Dr. should be the final word in giving you directions in your ED journey, but I get it. Sometimes Drs are not very informative in this area. Mine wasn’t.
2. Never inject twice in the same day. You could end up going to the ER to end a 4 hour erection. If you miss, wait at least a day maybe two before you try again. In a month or two this will be all be routine for you once you get it figured out. Be patient. You will figure it out in time.
3. Be sure of how much you are injecting. Be very precise. Keep a detailed journal/log of the date, time, number of units, which side you injected, where on the shaft, length of time the erection lasted (if you get on) and quality of the erection. This will be helpful in making adjustments.
4. Everyone is different and reacts differently to the mix and dosage. I am now able to get fulfilling erection on just 3 units. Others may take 20 or 30 units. We are all different
5. Don’t mix pills with your injection, Cialis and Viagra, unless instructed to do so by your Dr. this can get you in trouble too.
6. Try pumping up with a VED to get chubby, not rock hard, prior to attempting the injection. This will give you a bigger target area and reduce the chances of missing. This was the game changer for me.
7. If you get an erection and feel like you need more, go slow. A couple units at time. If you bump up a couple units and have a miss, again be patient and try that same number of units again before moving to a higher dose.
8. Lastly, review the treads on this site related to first time injection. You will find much discussions similar to what you are experiencing.
9. Keep asking questions. Many of us, if not all, that use injections have experienced what you are going through. You’ll get it eventually.
I hope this helps,
Good luck,
RJ

Re: Help!! - I Don't Know the Amount of Trimix to Use
Being the typical guy that I am, I quickly forgot how much to inject and I also forgot where I wrote it down (now I write on the face of the little plastic container it comes in). What I did remember is that if I was ever in doubt, try a small dosage first. For me, it was 5 units. Well that didn't do much but I did it again the next day in case I simply missed with the injection. Same result. The next weekend I went to ten and it wasn't the result I wanted but it was noticeably better. I seldom miss my needle placement but when I do, I kind of know. If the injection didn't work at all or barely worked, it's probably a miss and not a dosage issue.

Re: Help!! - I Don't Know the Amount of Trimix to Use
Hi, RJ. I am new to injections and, as I have documented in another thread that has gotten some helpful comments, I am on a 30/3/20 mix and.3 units plus/minus 1. The difficulty (after investing $300 in this mix) is that the precision of metering out exactly 3.00 units is impossible. So each dose is "around" 3 units and even a slight variation has the potential to be a high percentage of over or under the desired dose. Since you have settled on 3 units, I wonder how you are successfully dosing each time. Just eyeballing the syringe?RJ_in_Pa wrote:I am now able to get fulfilling erection on just 3 units.

Re: Help!! - I Don't Know the Amount of Trimix to Use
For years now I switched my syringe volume that it can hold to .5ml or 50 units (instead of standard 1ml/100cc syringe). Since my dose is in the lower 20s (sometimes lower if expecting a shorter session and vice versa), having the smaller size syringe allows me to be precise since nowhere near 50 units. Also others have mentioned in other threads I prefer the Easy Touch syringe as it’s easier for me to ensure I’m in right spot making the injection with much less resistance and smoother) . Also, just for note I use a 5/16” needle most often after short use of a VED to make it easier to locate the site and provide more surface area to spread out along length while switching side switch sides each time.
Everyone is different so important to keep “experimenting” to find optimal dose and best location (with doctors approval of course). Best of luck!

Hi Upbutnotoff,
The short answer is “Yes - I just eyeball it”.
I use a “U-100 Insulin” syringe that has max capacity of 50 units. It has singe unit indicators with large numbers at every 5 unit indicators.
Suffering from infertility in our child baring years, I have had much practice at using syringes and injecting. If I may digress, it is almost bitter sweet karma that I now have to poke myself with a needle after poking my wife for over 5 years, which gave us a beautiful healthy son.
Back to your question, I first put on my reading glasses. I take the syringe and push and pull the plunger back and forth, just to loosen it up and settle on the 3 unit indicator. I swab the top of the vial with an alcohol swab. I push the needle in and inject the air in the syringe into the vial. Next, while holding the syringe under the vial, I draw out 10 to 15 units of the meds into the syringe and then slowly push the plunger to push the meds back into the vial until I get to just a little bit more than I want.
I pull the syringe out and point it straight up and flick it with my finger to get any air bubbles to move up to the needle.
Lastly, I push the plunger ever so slow slightly until I see a little bit of the meds appear at the end of the needle.
This is probably way more detail than anyone wants to read, but I hope it helps you or someone.
Like I said, (unfortunately) I have had a lot of practice doing injections.

Very helpful. Thanks. My routine is pretty much the same except I use 0.3ml syringes that are a little easier to read than .0.5 or 1.0ml. Hopefully, with practice and better data-gathering, I will be able to get reliable dosing.
