Tips on manual injection. Advice needed

Postby Shootanoogah » Tue Dec 17, 2024 12:36 am

I’ve been injecting for 2.5 years now, but I still can’t bring myself to do a manual injection. Every time, I stand there with the needle ready, but I just can’t push it in. I always end up using my auto-injector as a fallback. Has anyone here successfully overcome this kind of extreme hesitation? I’ve tried breathing techniques, but it still feels impossible for me to take that final step. I’d really appreciate any advice or strategies that worked for you!

"Take your brain out, and stomp on it." You're thinking too much.

you have to look at it from the same perspective as a normal injection, like a flu shot. yes, this injection is going into your penis, but a flu shot is going to hurt. is it going to hurt really bad or is just the initial prick going to hurt? for me it was the latter. all injections hurt but only a few are really painful. i have injected over 400 times and to this day, it still hurts when the needle pierces skin. my hands also still shake but my wife and I really like having sex. so if this is a small pain that i have to get used to, then so be it. i used a VED to pump up slightly and gives a better target area. even with the VED there are still a lot of veins to get in the way. i do my best to find a good area and then i slowly put the needle up against the skin. i take a breath and as i exhale, i push into the skin and although it hurts initially i can feel the piercing of both layers. once in, (for me there is no way around it) as my hands shake a bit the needle does move around quite a bit sometimes but i aspirate to make sure I’m in the right spot and then i inject. 99% of the time its the needles that stick and make you think that you are not in the right spot because of the resistance but i push through and it goes right in. yes, even when it all goes right and it works right away, there is still pain because a needle went into your penis. LOL it took me some work but what helped me the most was my wife anxiously awaiting the best sex we have had in years. for her i would inject even if it did hurt way worse than it does. i still hesitate and fear the injection still but the rewards are so worth it. i hope this helps you somewhat. take care.

If you have been injecting for 2.5 years with auto-injector and I assume it works well for you... Why change?
Struggled with ED/PE for years.
Started using Trimix in May 2022 with very good results.

I find that I can often inject painlessly manually with the thinnest needles: 31 gauge. Pain nerves on the surface form a network, and I walk the tip around until I find a spot where I feel nothing - I'm between nerves. I very slowly push in and if I'm lucky I'll be between nerves lower down; if there's too much pain further down I pull out and start again at a nearby spot. The tunica has no nerves so going through it is painless.

You are so right! This brain can be heavy at time. It helps in other places but when it comes to these things. :D :D :D I'll do my best to dismiss the brain. I'll keep you posted.

Thank you—this question is a good one. I guess I want to be more discreet and pack lighter. In all seriousness, although the machine can be helpful, it does not seem always safe in the long run.

The brain is what I need to kick out of this process.
