Best Way To Inject

Hi folks, 34 m here from Ireland. Damaged penis after taking dutasteride pills in July 2023, diagnosed with Venous Leak in February 2025. I've tried 10mcg Caverject (alone, and with escorts) on a few occasions with mixed results. Worked very well once while standing up, but started losing potency when I lay flat. Seems to wear off a bit too quick too. Upped the dose to 20mcg recently, tried it with an escort, didn't get fully hard, kind of had a soft erection, perhaps a 75% erection, but it lasted long enough, 40 minutes or so at 75% and in every different position too, held up in that condition while I lay flat. Obviously I want a 100% steel rod 100% of the time, so it looks like I'll probably go the implant route, unless I can find a technique that gives me a more consistent and fulfilling result with Caverject. I am here to ask, is there any way of injecting that can give best results? Is it sage to inject when you kind of have somewhat of an erection already? I sometimes still get little erections for a few seconds, but I've only ever injected Caverject into a totally flacid penis.

Try using a VED to plump your penis up before you inject, it will help you find a good injection site but you already have a good part of an erection as you inject. I find I am ready to go in about 3-5 minutes by doing this.

I realise that 20 mcg is the largest dose available for caverject and for some people not enough I use 40mcg which involves 2 x20mcg one each side of my penis

Have you tried using a decent cock ring from a sex shop with your injection? Works better for me.

It helps slow the venous leak which improves the erection and slow how quickly the injection is flushed out of the penis as well.

Are you taking daily Cialis? That helps me as well. Seems to help make the shot work better. Gives me stronger spontaneous erections too which is good for the health of the penis. More stretching of the tissue, less atrophy over time.

In short: consider adding daily cialis (Tadalafil) and a decent cock ring.

Yikes! Do you find a big difference in your erection between 20mcg and 40mcg? You actually can get 40mcg shots as far as I know.

I've actually tried sex with an escort using Tadalifil and a cock ring from a sex shop. I kept an erection for about 5 minutes and then it went flat, despite the fact I had a ring on. I've not yet tried a ring with Caverject but I will try that next, although I just don't know if it's going to give me an awesome result. Seems like a lot of hassle as well. Honestly at this stage I'm thinking the implant would be the most reliable and most mentally appeasing result for me. But I will try max strength Caverject with a cock ring to see if that works. Yes 40mcg are listed as being available but in 3 years I have never been able to get it I have a prescription for 16 lots of 20mcg a month by the way do you have any problems getting caverject? I had so much trouble getting it I switched to a generic

Yep, everyone is different so experimenting is key. If you have compounding pharmacies near you, you might be able to get a stronger concentration of injection made. 40mcg/cc might be the strongest strength of caverject, but it can be custom made much stronger (100mcg or even 200mcg/cc). There the limitation is what will remain in suspension in the solution.

Or consider Trimix. The Papaverine and Phentolomine (the two additional meds in TriMix) would be the next step up.

Interesting. Where are you? I'm in Ireland and the UK. I think there is a UK online pharmacy that makes it easy to get 40mcg.

Ive only been prescribed 10mcg Caverject by my uro in Ireland, even though I told him it doesn't work. He allows me 8 shots per month which is never going to be sufficient for a healthy 34 year old single man like myself. If I enter into a relationship with a woman in my age bracket, I think 8 flimsy erections per month will derail the relationship.

I've been able to source shots of 20mcg on an online pharmacy and I can buy as many of them as I want. I have found that some pharmacies are out of stock when you ask them, but you can always just tell them to order it in, so I've only had very small hiccoughs trying to buy it.
