A pharmacist said their trimix can be kept outside freezer for a week... is this true??
I called a pharmacist at a compound pharmacy who said their trimix can withstand being outside the freezer/fridge for a week. I've never heard this before in my life. Is this true??

Why "probably" if I read that trimix should always be kept frozen and that it will degrade after a short period of time outside the freezer?

Think about the practicalities of business. Everyone knows that injecting is hard; not every injection works. A beginner might come back to his pharmacy complaining that his Trimix doesn't work. He might say, "You should have told me to keep it frozen. I saw on the Internet that it should be frozen. Now I want my money back!" So some pharmacies may simply instruct their customers to keep it frozen. Mine says refrigerate.

I don't think you've done your research very thoroughly. Read this injection forum, going back as many pages as you can digest. Yes, there are many of us who try to freeze but it's optional. I've never seen a requirement to freeze.
Think about it.... There are lot of compounding pharmacies - maybe the majority used here in FT - who ship TriMix. Some do overnight, some do 2nd day air. In either case, it's unlikely the product is going to arrive frozen, so the pharmacy itself engages in a process that only guarantees a cool arrival, not frozen.

Think about how temperature affects it. It begins to break down slowly at room temp. So out for a week it will still be viable, but you *might* notice a little less efficacy. Best to refrigerate if you can, but if you’re on vacation for a week just bring a couple of pre-loaded syringes and it should be fine.
