Bruising

Last Sunday I injected myself and the next day I noticed a large bruise in the area of the injection. I didn't notice any thing different when the needle went in and there was not external bleeding when I pulled the needle out. Is this comman? Of more concern is it lasts for a week or so can I inject in that area again until the bruising dissapears? I know that I do bruise easy because of the aspirin regimen my Dr. has me on. If I bang my wrist on a door knob I can expect a bruise. However I don't remember banging my penis on a door know.

I have yet to experience this but I hear reports of bruising due to nicking a blood vessel with the needle during insertion into the skin. I understand that it looks worse than it actual is. I'd suggest you give that injection site a rest for a week. Use the other side to inject. Try to avoid hitting blood vessels.

It happens to me occasionally. I believe I nick a capularie which spreads a little blood under the skin. No pain and it usually is mostly dissipated after a few days.

Mine looked like I had been hit in the balls! The uro-doc said I hit a blood vessel. Bad looking dude.
