Trimix failure question

I'm sure this has been addressed but I am asking the question.
I was given .15 ml of trimix in the doctor's office - had a medium erection the doctor was pleased with. Have tried it three times at home as follows:
1. .20 ml right side of penis slightly better erection than doctor's office
2. .25 ml left side of penis a lesser erection than the previous two
3. .25 ml right side no erection whatsoever today

I don't want to panic but I was hoping to establish a baseline dosage to use for successful intercourse so today was a letdown. Are there some specific reasons why trimix fails to work or it just a physiological thing? I do know it is easier for me to inject on the right side as I am right handed, than the left side. Today, I felt a bit of resistance pushing the needle in. I am keeping the trimix refrigerated until I have to extract it.
I have been thinking about pumping up before injecting but am unsure if I should use a tension ring.

Any thoughts or advise sincerely appreciated.

James: FWIW, I've injected 42 times -- it failed once and I have no idea why. The other 41 times the results were good, and were also consistent.

Resistance: I've felt that a few times and from what I've read here, or somewhere, there is a tough layer of tissue under the skin. But I don't know why I don't feel it every time.

Guys here have suggested fattening the old boy up first, although pumping before injecting didn't seem to make any difference for me. I can get a natural semi (finally!), so that's what I do, and the needle does seem to go in easier and with very little sting.

My experience with trimix was that I required 45units/0.45ml for good results. I was taking 5mg cialis as well with hit or miss results prior to Trimix. I decided to switch to super trimix and now use 25units/0.25ml with consistent good results. If you are not receiving erections you are either not using enough or missing the cavernosa and injecting into the urethra by mistake.

Hope this helps

How long is the needle you are using? As frEdcrn mentioned, it is possible you are not reaching the CC.

The needles are 1cc, 28G 1/2" (12.7mm). I think the needle size is appropriate; don't know if I am missing or what. If I could ask you two more questions since you seem to be the resident expert here:
1. Do you know if Aleve or Tramadol (pain reliever for my back) may have a deleterious effect on the medication?

2. I have read where a few guys pump up before injecting. I wonder if they disengage the pump, then quickly inject into the shrinking erection or if they use a constriction ring before injecting, and is that safe. I also read some guys put a ring on after they inject with good results.

I appreciate all of your help - I am going to get this figured out!

I was having a lot of failures too. I finally figured out that it is because I am a "grower", not a "shower". So I tried getting it harder before injection, and with it bigger, I had a bigger target, and was able to hit the right spot nearly every time.

I get it hard with my spouse rubbing it, especially works in a warm shower. But I suppose u could use a vacuum pump too
