I know I shouldn't be posting here. But theres a problem with the General Section of the forum. For some reason, it wont let me post a new thread there. Hope the mods understand.
Anyway, I saw a uro in NC 3 months ago. He prescribed me Clomid because my T was low. But being cautious, I decided not to take it because I read bad things about it. The prescription expired so I cant use it now. Yes I know, dumb on my part. Last week I saw my uro in my state and he convinced me to take it. But, he asked me to take a new T test since my last T test was 3 months ago. My question is, is this T test necessary or should I call the uro in NC and ask him to give me new prescription? I ask this because the test is costly and I need to save money.

I have been taking it for about 24-30 months. Just get a script. I feel sure your T has not increased on its own. mine was at 200 and after taking the clomid it runs 450-600.
Your local doctor is wanting to do the blood test to document that you need help with low T.
Hope this helps

Hello Ron. How has the Clomid been working for you? Have you experienced any increases in libido? My T is low according to a T test I took 3 months ago. My libido back then was low. But now, my libido has taken a nose dive. And my energy is low, I'm developing a gut, I dont feel any motivation. I feel dead. Let me know how much your libido has increased since taking the Clomid. Thanks.

You have to always test Estradiol along with Testostorone. Normally with testosterone, estradiol also goes up that's what negates the +ve affect of T. Ask your doctor to test for Estradiol and prescribe something to control it.

Im new to this caper. I was on trt (Undeconate Testosterone -- Reandron/Nebido) - straight Testosterone. I just checked out Clomid and I'm confused (see
http://www.rxlist.com/clomid-side-effec ... center.htm) - It says "Clomid (clomiphene citrate) is a nonsteroidal, ovulatory stimulant used to treat ovulatory dysfunction and polycystic ovary syndrome in WOMEN"
Looks like I'm on a steep learning curve!
Any information on TRT for men who had RP is welcome!
