Apparently doesn't need to be refrigerated.

Ralph, if you can get it, I'd recommend the 2 vial kit of the tri-mix in dry form. One vial of tri-mix and the other vial of Sodium Chloride to mix it with. It doesn't have to be refrigerated until it's mixed.
It costs me $27.50 per kit when I buy 4 kits, and is good for about 15 pops per kit with my dosage.

I tried to post this awhile ago, but don't see it.
My compounding pharmacy is nearby and I guess I'm lucky.
It is only licensed in Arizona though.
I would try to find a compounding pharmacy that sells tri-mix in the 2 bottle way.

I've read about the gel for travel, but it doesn't seem nearly as effective as the injectable solution.

Does anybody know anything about traveling with either the bottle or loaded syringes in a small ice-pack wallet that's made for diabetics transporting their insulin?

There's also supposed to be another type of wallet or packet called Frio, which uses a different cooling technology but is also used for traveling with insulin.

I have traveled many times with my trimix....in and out of the country, never had a problem with syringes or the drug. I just kept the drug cool in an insulated pouch with an ice pack. You should carry everything with you passing through TSA...do not put in your checked baggage !!! Just have your prescription handy for the drug and the syringes to show TSA if need be....I have never been asked about any of this when passing through TSA...nor have they asked to look at anything....

Piece of cake....no problems at all...

Happy Travels !!!
