I guess everyone's different. I am hardest when I stand. Missionary works ok as well. We only tried with my wife on top once, but it was the least effective. I ended up soft. I will say that after sex, when we are lying together, I get soft, but once I stand up, my penis gets hard again, almost to the point I can't get my jeans on comfortably.

You might want to try the rear entry spoon position on your side.

Like DT says, the spoons position from the back is a great position to use.

Never had a problem deflating that way. Sometimes did have probs with missionary position.

Good thing about spoons is your partner can even be reading a book or on the phone or even sleeping or whatever and not interfere with the business at hand ...

I think every one should have a preferred position or one that best fits. The missionary position for me cause loss of erection and I ejaculate fast. To aginal sex cowgirl and the downward dog position I did not lose my erection for anal sex position is the best dog style.
