Who has taken a break from injections?

I wrote other posts on my situation.....after 10 months of injecting I developed some scar tissue and a slight curvature of the penis.I went to a Peyrones specialist who put me on oral treatments...some natural like CoQ-10, L-Arginine etc...Since stopping injections oral meds are not doing it....at least when I'm with my partner...anyway, after 5 weeks of daily VED therapy and taking the oral meds/supplements the scar tissue is practically gone. The Doc who prescribed the Trimix has consulted with the Peyrones specialist and they both agreed in a few months I can resume injections..but only once a week....and knowing the risk involved. I did notice the last several injections my erections were not as hard as when I first started injecting. I don't know if I got used to the dosage or the weaker ejections were a result of the scar tissue...my question is this....has anyone taken a break from injecting..then resumed it with the same dose and your erections were as good as when you initially injected?......If I'm going to take the risk I want the best bang for my buck so to speak....any insights or thoughts are appreciated. Thanks

I have been injecting for about 2.5 years. Over the past year, I have had to increase my dosage from 12 units to 45 units in order to achieve and maintain a one hour erection. I recently took a three week break from injecting and this morning injected 45 units with my usual 1 hour result.

Wow that's more than double the 12 units...I guess you gradually increased the dose to 45units?....My typical dose over the past year that I've been injecting was 12-14units.....that seemed to give me an erection for 45min-1hr....hard enough for intercourse, but I noticed the last few months I was injecting, the erections were less hard....less enough where I felt the difference. Thanks for your thoughts

I've taken a break from it -- haven't injected in over a month. No reason other than I'm bored with it all, it's just a big gigantic nuisance.

Boy I hear ya brother.....sex has become a chore....I'm driven with a high libido....never had a problem in that area. In fact my URO told me my testosterone levels were "robust"......I masturbate and can get nice and hard...I'm with a woman and the slightest distraction or the "What if" thought happens and I go limp.....just sick of it. I understand why guys get implants.....but it's truly "the last frontier" as someone said on this forum......something that's suppose to be so pleasurable, and enjoyable has become a dreaded affair.....and afterwards, is worse...although I've gotten better at not kicking the shit out of myself....My advice to younger guys is as the line goes in the movie "Little Miss Sunshine"....."F-ck a lot of women, f-ck a lot of woman"....sorry, my humor can get the best of me.

What is the cause of your ED?

Keep in mind that the 'lifespan' of trimix can be rather short.... if you stop using for any length of time, that batch may not have the same power as the previous use some weeks ago.
just thought I would point that out

Just saw your post.....I had Cardio-by-pass surgery 2 years ago.....I never smoked, exercised my whole life, cholesterol numbers were within normal limits etc...but it's in my family..father, uncle and my mother's male cousins all had coronary artery disease. I'm very active and am in great shape. I'm practically a full vegetarian....to answer your question I suspect the cause is circulatory...I started noticing difficulties in my early 50's (am now 59) but I was stuck in a bad marriage (which since ended) and I attributed the ED to that...Viagra worked liked a charm for me for about 7 years.....and then I noticed it was "hit or miss" with it....I had a younger woman I was seeing and didn't want to loose her so I went to injections....with intermittent use of Viagra...I did that for about 10 months until I noticed my dick curving to the left when I would be in the midst of getting an erection...and also noticed the erections were not as firm on injections as when I first started using them... So I went to a URO who was/is a specialist in Peyrones and he said I had some scarring, nodules.....stopped injecting about 6 weeks ago, went on a medication recommended for Peyrones especially in the early stages, Trental.....Vitamin E, Co-Q10, L-Arginine....so far so good. Last check up the Peyrones specialist said the scarring was reduced...In the meantime, I went back on pills (Viagra, Cialis, Stendra) with limited results...The Uro Doc who prescribed the Trimix consulted with the Peyrones specialist and they both agreed if I continue to progress with a reduction in the scarring, I might be able to inject again in about 2 months...but only once a week...Long answer to a short question....

I started injections about 9 months ago, and the latest one was about 3 weeks ago. the last 3 or 4 gave me weak erections, and i was very frustrated each time i wanted to have sex with my wife. she also complains about my size which is much smaller than before so frankly talking sex is not enjoyable this way. Injections are not the solution for me i think. at my 47 years old it's not a fun to have those problems, and everything happened suddenly, i am still shocked and don't know what is the solution to my situation. Men at my age are enjoying life with full sex i don't know what did i do wrong in life.
I am seriously considering an implant but my wife doesn't want, she prefers to give up with sex because she is afraid that something can go wrong with surgery but i think it is jealousy (i can have girl friends with the implant she thinks).
Do i have to keep trying injections or do i have to go for the implant ? wife told me if i want to have the implant then lets get divoced first.

Prostate cancer is certainly a cruel joke on us. It's generally curable if caught early, but the price we pay for the cure is high as we all know. I'm two years out and still have an occasional leakage problem, not to mention ED and a shortened dick when pumped full of drugs.
I took a woman out a week ago -- first date since PC surgery. Will probably go out again but what am I supposed to do with her? I'd certainly like having a woman around again but there's no end game. I have no clue what to do.
Have you considered both you and your wife seeing a therapist who deals with this kind of problem? I have no idea if they even exist or if there's one near you. Seems like you could use an unbiased 3rd party to sort through the implant question.
