I'm missing the "sweet spot" 50% of the time

I've been injecting at least once a week since February. More than half the time I"m missing the "sweet spot", or I'm pretty sure I am, and getting nothing. If I don't feel the burning at the tip of the penis and get an erection, I figure I've missed.

I switched from 1/2" 30G needles to 5/16" 31G needles because the doc said I should only be putting the 1/2" needle in halfway, and I think sometimes I may have overshot the tissue.

Yesterday I tried, and was certain I was in the right spot. I put in the needle, but felt too much resistance. I injected in a second spot, but moved the needle too much and it hurt more than usual. A little later I developed a big lump under the skin, which has now just about gone away.

No matter how much I try to get plumped a bit, sometimes I'm just too shrunk up and the cavernous whatever is too small an area to hit. Even when I am plumped a up a bit, I don't hit the spot right.

My sweet spot must be a 1/4" by 1/4" area. Any suggestions on what I can do to be more consistent?

I have to fly to another city to see my ladyfriend. By the time I pay airfare and an evening's entertainment, I've spent a lot of money only to have no erection, and go home frustrated.

Don, when I inject using the 1/2" needle, I try to plump it as much as I can.
I try to find a place about a third of the way up and try to miss any visible veins.
After I feel the needle pass through the tunica or feel it going in more easily, I try to withdraw blood.
I actually try to get a couple units of vacuum. If I don't see blood rushing into the syringe, I withdraw it a bit and usually hit the blood.
That usually works for me, but I have also injected after feeling the needle going in easily.

tomas1, when you say "a third of the way up", do you mean a third of the way from the base to the tip (closer to base than tip) or a third of the way from tip to base (closer to the tip)?

It was my understanding that the corpus cavernosum was widest near the base.

1/3d closer to the body (base). I try to move the location a bit.

I've had this problem of resistance and developed a lump under the skin. I recommend not to apply when displaying resistance and change the location to not cause lump
I apply trimix 3 times a week and always changing the location. I apply once on the left side and another on the right side

I found that 5/16", 31 gauge needles were not sturdy and quite often would bend and glance off the tunica. I switched back to 1/2 inch 30 gauge needles and haven't missed the sweet spot in over a year.

I got a lump under the skin on Sunday. At first I thought it was under the skin, but it's actually a lump on the corpus cavernosum. I seeing my uro on Friday. Does anyone know if a lump on the "tube" is something to worry about?

DonB:

I have heard, here and there, mostly on PEGYM site I think, that some Tunicas are tougher than others.

Maybe that means thicker -- not sure.

That observation that the lump was IN the Tunica is very useful information for sure. If the needle was imbedded in the Tunica I can only think that it would be very hard to depress the plunger on that syringe and maybe you are not paying attention to that. You did not mention if you could feel if there was little or a lot of plunger pressure needed.

I assume it must have been a lot of pressure needed?

Try filling a syringe with water and then depressing it about the same angle and finger positions as you would for real and just inject the water "into the air". That is about the amount of pressure you should need if you are inside the CorpusCav .. not in flesh and I guess not imbedded in the Tunica.

Try it and report on back. Also .. no need to wait days between shots. As long as the last failed shot did nothing after say 30 mins you could try again on the other side with a new shot. You don't want to disappoint the ladies!

Thanks, JimStars. I could feel the tunica, and felt the needle going through it and then requiring less pressure. It required more pressure than usual to depress the plunger, though. Maybe it's an area I've already injected several times, and which has built up scar tissue. I haven't injected so much that I'd expect scar tissue, though.

It's my understanding that the reason for waiting a few days is so that scar tissue doesn't build up, and that it doesn't have anything to do with too much Trimix. What I've read may be wrong, though.

Right now I don't want to do anything until my uro examines that lump. It makes me nervous.

I have an auto injector that should be arriving on Saturday, and I can test it then.

The ladies aren't as disappointed as me when the shots don't work. These are not cheap dates, and I have to spend time travelling to see them.
