Went to Doc for First Inject

The doc injected me with 10mcg of edex. I got semi hard but not even as hard as i can get with Cialis. It was totally unusable. There was minor ache, but nothing bad and the erection was gone in a little over an hour. The doc sent me on my way with 20 mcg and said to try it in a week. I haven't gotten brave enough. You veterans out there, do you think doubling the dose is too much? I know everyone is different. Just trying to get a little info.

The doc also said if i can't get it back down, to take 4 sudafed and call him. He gave me his number. Anyway, just looking for a little advice. I'm sure i could go back and pay him to inject me with 20 if i wimp out.

Thanks,

Dave

Dave, my experiences FWIW:

My doc's sweet young female assistant injected me with 5 units of Trimix (at this point I was about 9 months post surgery). I got maybe a semi. After she inspected it (heh heh) she said to try 10 units at home. They gave me an instruction sheet with the directions about how to inject, about "Sudafed," etc.

A few days later I tried 10 units and the bastard wouldn't go down. After a couple of hours I'm getting worried, and it really started to ache; not pleasant at all. I took Sudafed, no change. I put ice, heat on it, exercised, no help. After the 4th hour it started to get a little better. By the 5th hour I was out of the woods. This was around 2 in the morning.

So after that I tried around 4 units a few times and ended up at 6 units, which is still working for me -- more than a year and a half later.

Why my Sudafed didn't work: It was timed-release. BE SURE TO GET FAST-ACTING. And the generic stuff (fast-acting) works fine. I've only had to use it a few times but it does make it go down.

IMO: I would make sure I have the right Sudafed (or generic) on hand, and would try 15 units. It doesn't hurt to take too little, but it hurts LIKE HELL if you take too much. And if you have to go to the hospital to get your dick deflated, well that's a whole other thing.

When a similar thing happened to me, I just increased the dosage about 5 units at a time till it was usable. I finally had to get a pretty strong dosage that is working well.
Funny (or not so funny), but I've never got a painful erection even when it lasted a couple hours.

Mine always last at least two hours, with no problem. The aching started when I got to the 3-4 hour area.

Before I got an implant, I tried injections. I started with bi-mix. It worked fine for about four months (the first and the best made me feel like I was 18 again), although I had to keep increasing the dosage. I had no problems with the injections, but finally meds just stopped working for me. My urologist then switched me to tri-mix, which never did anything at all for me. After I gave up on injections, I developed Peyronies. After the pain of Peyronies subsided, I was able to get partial erections with ED drugs, but not firm enough for penetration. They only lasted long enough for BJs and HJs. That's when I made the decision to move forward on the implant, which has worked out great.
