injection problems

Postby newhampshire » Fri Apr 03, 2015 12:26 pm

Been 2+ yrs before I was able to get to Dana Farber "team" urologist. went nowhere due his lack of communication. Went elsewhere, find. Urologist, started trying injections in early Feb. No response @ .05.
I have shrunk so that I have very hard time finding where to inject. Last 2 tries tried like Heck but injected the head of the penis (not recommended) !!!!
What do I do to insure I'm "on target" ?????
Is there any hope or should I just forget the whole idea and acknowledge the balance of my life as a eunuch ?
HELP !!!!!

History: 2012. Psa 69.4 G 8. Been on Casadex (50mg daily) & Lupton (qtrly) since Jan 3, 2013; underwent radiation treatment (49 treatments). Med Oncol & Rad Oncol (women) ignored my issues re sexual function and rehabilitation. New Med Oncol @DANA FARBER addressed by making 1 appt with urologist who proved disinterested.
Am I "dead in the water" now that it's 4/2015 ??????
Any advice or experience would be GREATLY appreciated as Medical Community doesn't seem to give a d..m and my patience and faith in entire prostate experience is rapid waning.

If you can get somewhat plump using a low dosage of Viagra or something, that makes it a lot easier to hit the promised land. I get a rush when I try to extract some blood and see a lot come back into the syringe. When that happens, I'm always successful.
I've never done it, but I'd even try a vacuum pump to plump up first as well.
I think it would be hard, but not impossible to inject Willy when he's shy.

NewHam,

Although we are giving you advice 2 years late, maybe it will help others reading this who just recently got out of surgery or radiation or doing Lupron etc to be sure that you start up a faithful, regular pumping regimen starting, say 4 weeks after surgery (I dunno about radiation -- maybe anytime you feel comfortable starting?).

As you have seen (Or cannot see anymore! ) if you can exercise and expand your penis out and beyond your normal size every day or so, you'll have an easier time finding it and plumping up for shots or getting fitted for a good sized implant in the future. I think also that it might help reduce injections expansion ache or pain too, since regular pumping gets lil willie used to hard stretching/inflation in a similar way that a successful 100% hard injection would expand too. If you pump you know there is an ache threshold you have to work thru -- with injection you don't get a chance to un-inject to ease the ache like you can reduce vacuum on the pump to ease ache and then restart again.

But, there's still plenty of time to bring willie out of hiding. Get an expensive medical grade pump if they will give it to you almost free, or just spend $100 or so for a fair quality pump like Encore or Osbon.

Not sure pumping will ultimately help with your injections, but yes you do need to be able to have some real estate visible to find the right injection spot -- so it ought to help with that after a while. Some guys do pump up a bit to get things showing in order to inject -- others can get it plumped up with just some dliligent manipulations -- and Porn don't do most of us any good in the erection department so that is not a solution ...

have at it ... report back when you got something...

I too had some issues "finding the right spot". I especially have trouble on the left side, and if I have to look in the mirror.

Prostate surgery, for some, does really shrink Mr Happy! so you are trying to hit a tiny spot that is hard to see or hold the needle the right angle to do.

What I LIKE to do is to have my partner stroke me until it starts getting a little plump. That makes hitting the right injection spot at least 2x easier. I find standing up while getting stroked helps (gravity and blood flow) or doing it in a warm shower.

JimStars+spanzo and other helpful friends:
Recently returned from Florida and have not been back to NH u to.
Have appt w/Uro @ B&W Hospital tomorrow (referred by my med onc @ Dana Farber).

Hope to get some good info and explanation of entire process. Sure had a tough and unsuccessful time while in Florida !! Even with your and everyone's kind assistance.

What is the normal life span of Trimix ?? I received first, and only, order placed by NH uro which consisted of 2 ml vials (10 ml total) with 10 syringes. Instructions for .4 every 3 days. My calculations were a total of 4.0
ml (using 10 syringes) is LESS THAN 1 vial. Both vials received on January 29th with both having expiration dates of March 15th. By February 27th, Out of syringes with an untouched 5ml vial plus 2+ shots left of first vial. In short, NH Uro sent 2X+ Trimix with only half+ the syringes. With only 5 proscribed shots til expiration
of ALL Trimix and not enough syringes to even come close to his prescribed regime, without any increases in
product, if deemed necessary.

Am I totally mixed up here ????
I admit I'm currently CONFUSED and BEFFUDLED.
Cost of this little episode for 2 5ml vials and 10 syringes w/O UPS was only $235.00.
Could a friend here online confirm or correct my figures ??????
Help is GREATLY APPRECIATED !!!!!!!!!!

Is all Trimix so short lived ?? Don't Pharmacies (or anyone) verify the prescriptions as to product life
span and as to the correct number of syringes to accomplish the Uro's prescription orders ????
Has the ACA finally assurred total lack of concern of all players in the medical chain ?

NewH,

On the syringes... they are really just complimentary pack of syringes to get you started. They expect you to buy more at a pharmacy or Amazon or elsewhere. In fact they ask you if you even want any ... hoping to save more cents by not supplying any. As you can read here, members(!) prefer certain kinds and gauges and they are usually not the kind that a doc or pharmacy supplies.

If kept refrigerated Trimix lasts quite a long time, but does steadily reduce strength (the PGE-1 degrades -- the Pap and Phent do not)... so you slowly move towards Bimix! But that would be many months. Just keep an eye out for floaters of stuff (do not use!) and also if any crystals form -- you gotta dissolve them back before using.

Your cost is high, but walk-in compounders usually are premium priced compared to mail-order places. Keep reading to find the low price places -- like down to $80 for 10ml plus shipping extra.
