OW OW OW _ My first post/question

Hello everyone! I have been a long time lurker and with the help of this forum, became a Trimix user a little over 2.5 years ago. I have been a successful user (most of the time) plunging 20 units of 30/1/10 Trimix. I started having problems last November and figured my supply was getting old. So I got a new vial last month. I alternate left and right and have reduced my attempts to once every 7 to 10 days. At first I noticed that the right side had become very painful and ineffective. The left side seems to be fine and I can have an erection for about 1 hour. Last night was time for the right side and I litteraly delayed 4 or 5 days in a row due to the painful attempt on that side last time.

I forced myself not to delay again last night and WOW! I thought I was gonna have to go to the ER! The stick was a little painful. But the plunge was like pushing in liquid fire. IT BURNED BAD! I rubbed to spread the medicine and with tears in my eyes was able to achieve maybe a 60% erection, but the pain just persisted. I also noticed a slight bend to the left (ejected on right). I tried to masturbate to some porn and was able to dry climax as the pain got worse. (15 minutes after stick). The pain just kept getting worse as I became flaccid within a few minutes. I took a wash rag and heated it up with very hot water to hold over my penis hoping to alleviate the pain. Didn't work. So, I got cleaned up, took 2 ibuprofens and tried to go to sleep. The pain continued to get worse as the burning went from my penis, thru my right testicle and to my tant. Debating whether or not to go to the ER, I finally was able to fall asleep 3.5 hours after the stick. The pain was still there but either I became used to it or it had subsided.

I awoke this morning with just some residual pain at the injection site, but otherwise normal. BTW, I have ED due to Open Prostectomy and I am mid 50's in fair shape.

What I find weird is I am not having any problems sticking the left side. I haven't even replaced my Uro since he retired, so I guess I get to find another one now.
Any insights on what might be the problem would be great!
Thank you

Hmmmmmm

Only a guess, but if you are left handed, perhaps the right hand side injection went a bit astray.... perhaps going into the urethra or the dorsal vein.

Was the trimix a brand new refill ?

I hope you find the reason so it never happens again

Bill

Hi Bill
I am right handed and I was using the new prescription. You may be correct. Does hitting either the dorsal vein or urethra cause a lot pain? I think I hit the urethra once before because it seemed as though I pee'd the medicine out right away, did not have an erection;but it was not painful. This was excruciating last nite. Thanks

Gary....

If you consider the top of you penis (dorsal vein) as 12:00,
and the bottom (urethra) is 6:00, then one side is 3:00 and the other side is 9:00.

Recommended injection site is about an inch from the base, and at 2:00 or 10:00 locations

Also look for any veins where you plan on inserting needle, and try to miss them.

And my personal preference is to stimulate myself to a semi erection.

Hope this helps,

Bill

In my experience and opinion:
Hitting the urethra is not painful-there is not much nerve on the urethral lining
hitting a small vein is not painful-it will just turn blue or green and swell up a bit unless a big vein or artery is punctured, then it will not be painful unless the bleeding is considerable;
The skin contains nerve cells which produce pain sensation;
the corpus cavernosum does not have nerve cells and there is no pain sensation
between the skin and corpus cavernosum, there is a fibrous capsule which has nerve cells; if your needle is dull, it may instead of puncturing the skin and fibrous capsule cleanly, it drags microscopic amount of skin or capsule tissue with it, thereby stretches them, that would cause more pain. Or, if you needle is big and dull, it may hit more nerves and drag more nerve cells, then it could cause more pain. Also distribution of nerve cells is not identical between the left and right side. One may have more densely together nerve cells on one side than the other; then one may feel more pain one side than the other.
Scar tissues do not have nerve cells.

I wonder why it's always recommended to alternate sides?
I'd be very tempted to shoot on the good side for awhile.
Is alternating just due to scar tissue buildup and possibly causing Pyrenies (spelled wrong I know).

Alternating is to reduce the risk of scarring, which can cause Peyonies disease.

I've had pain before if I moved the needle around after injection. It must be injected and then held as still as possible while pushing the plunger. The best thing I ever did for injections was buy an Inject-Ease. One-handed operation, no pain and, more importantly, no moving around.

I agree with using the Inject-Ease. Works perfectly.

Thank you all very much for taking the time to respond to this post. I have been injecting for almost 2 years now and have never heard of anyone experiencing the kind of pain that I experienced the other night. I think I will give it one more try and if I experience that pain again then we'll have no choice but to seek the help of urologist. That last experience gave me the shakes, so I may have to take a look at the auto injector now.

Gary,

My adivce would be do not push it until you have seen your Uro. Could be some kind of inflammation in the corpus cavernosa on that side. Kind of strange though, that it does not also hurt like hell on the bad side when you inject on the other side. You would think the PGE-1 would still agitate even if it was diffused by the time it got to the inflamed side.

Go slow and see uro or go slow and take a vacation from that side at least.
