Question about adjusting quantity of trimix

Hi, I'm the latest new guy. Thanks to this page I became more aware that I was certainly not alone our there in the world of ED. None of my coffee drinking buddies would ever participate in a discussion like this. After five years of declining success from Viagra then Cialis, then adding a ring, my urologist suggested a Doppler ultrasound which uncovered some arterial stenosis. He put me on Trimix #5, suggesting 25 units. It worked far better than I would have imagined, but lasted a little too long (two hours). My doc said dropping or adding 5 units at a time will shorten or lengthen the duration. I am wondering what experiences in time change you have had when altering your units by steps of 5. Thanks for sharing ages (I am 62) and medical histories. They provide context.

For guys requiring 25 units (more or less) a 5 unit adjustment normally should not be a problem. My Uro started me at 25 units and recommended 5 unit adjustments until I found the desired dose. I had to go up to 45.

However, some guys find under five units to be ok, in which case a 5 unit adjustment would be too much.

That sounds like good advice. I don't mind a 2 hour erection since I'm usually still in bed when it wears off.
A funny thing about ones buddies not talking about ED. I've heard there is such and such a percentage of guys over 40 have ED. Believe it or not, I'm the only older guy I know who has it lol. I try to let my friends know I have it, but no one comes forth with it.

Hi Graymare,

Most guys are too shy to talk openly about their ED problems, so its no surprise your buddies won't open up. I just turned 59, so I am about your age. I've tried all the pills, and now Trimix. I am still trying to dial in the right strength/dosage for Trimix, and I wish the process was easier. Eventually I may move on to an implant.

You should experiment with your injections as your doctor suggests. Consider "practicing" if necessary. A lot of us do that when we are just starting out. It allows you to test your erections without the pressure of having to perform that night with a partner. The whole thing gets much easier once you get the strength/dosage/technique all figured out.
