Hi guys I copy pasted this from another thread... I don't know what I should do??
The doc injected it. He said he's been doing this for years. He injected in the back of the shaft. He injected "Aprostadil".
It doesn't hurt anymore but I can barely GET A BONER. I could usually get hard when lying down but not anymore. What the heck is going on???
He told me to go to the ER if the erection lasted 2 hours+, but since I didn't even get an erection I didn't go. It was only hurting and he said that's normal.
I'm freaking out... please someone help! ??!

Update: I finally was able to get a boner after INTENSE stimulation! But I can't keep it when lying down (I was only capable of keeping it when lying down before)
Thanks a lot doc!!

You said he injected in "back of shaft"? Should be on side...

Yeah sorry I just checked, it was on the side. I didn't look when he injected (too scared)
Anyways, I just tried again and it was very difficult to get a boner. I don't understand-- I've never seen anything online about complications from a doppler test-- I didn't think it could make things worse!!! I'm so depressed right now...

hi canadian, from a fellow canadian who is aprox. the same age as you and have been suffering from venous leakage (most likely due to low testosterone) since 15 years old.
i recently had a doppler utlrasound done as well, i didn't attain an erection at the time but after leaving the office, I had an erection for over an hour.
i had no side effects from it, neither should you technically. these injections are used regularly by many from what i understand and shouldn't be a problem for many years.
i have some questions for you:
1) Have you had a hormone panel done?
2) Have you been checked for hypogonadism, and saw your results (I was told I was normal by 2 different doctors when I wasn't)
3) When and how did your problem start-- any ideas?
Venuos leakage is a known factor in hypogonadism. All a venous leakage is, is confirmation that your diastolic velocity (outbound blood flow to penile artery) is in excess. It can also show a low in flow (systolic velocity), as well as checking for scar tissue. Its good to have done but useless without confirmation of your blood tests.
