Hello all... Just curious of anybody would know which would be the healthiest and beneficial for weekly exercising, a injection or pump? Thanks!

Donnie: It kind of depends on what your objective is. If you are just trying to exercise your penis, the pump is probably the way to go. I found pumping did not produce an erection of and by itself. It does pull fluid into the penis for as long as you have vacuum in the cylinder.
Injections are basically to produce an erection for sex. That too will exercise the penis, the injections are relatively expensive, they are intrusive. Used over a long term, they are likely to produce scar tissue. The easiest thing to do is buy an inexpensive pump and cylinder at a sex shop and try it. To use a pump for sex, most guys find the erection and extra size disapates very quickly after the vacuum is released. To prevent this, a constricting ring is used to trap fluid in the penis. They should not be left on for more than 20 minutes. When I tried the pump for sex, I found the ring to be painful. I had to get it so tight to trap fluid.
Good luck

Cincinnatus...thank you for your reply. The reason I posted was because last Saturday morning (due to a new UR and trimix rx that I was trying out) during night time sleep I was waking up with more erections throughout the night. Do you think that was a coincidence or do you think the injection created a more active response. I did have prostate surgery approx. 8 years ago. A bad experience going to the er with a 6 hr erection made me lay off everything. That experience, which was about 4 years ago made me lay off injections until now. Just curious if injections create more of an arousal during night time than a pump? What would be your thoughts?

Donnie,

I know from long experience that after injecting in late evening, and after a couple hours where the effect has worn off .. during later hours in deep sleep the effect does seem to combine with nocturnal erection actions (which I would not have normally -- no nerves spared in Prostate surgery way back). The trace amounts of PGE-1 etc must take the place of the nerve actions which would produce Nitric Oxide and dilate arteries.

So yeah you do get some inflation off and on even after the shots worn off.

Thanks for the feed back Jim. I'm just starting all over cautiously and trying to figure things out.

Donnie :I don't recall nocturnal erections when using only trimix. I got such weird results from trimix that they cut the dose and put me on daily 5mg cialis. I did get nocturnal erections from the trimix. Have you used sudafed to stop a prolonged erection? Part of my problem with trimix was inconsistent results. You have to experiment with the dose.

I didn't find out about the sudafed until after the disaster so I'm taking things one unit at a time. I also read where someone injected phenyelephrine nasal spray to kill an erection but that sounded dangerous to me.

Donnie: Next week, Feb 23 to be exact, will be 1 year from my first injection. Prior to that, following my prostatectomy (Dec 1, 2014) I had used a pump to try to keep my penile tissue oxygenated. After I got my prescription for Tri-mix I began injecting about 4 times weekly. I only had sex about half of the time, but used the Tri-mix for oxygenation of penile tissue. Some of the information I've read would indicate that the blood from a 'natural' (chemically induced) is arterial blood which is oxygenated versus the venous blood sucked in by a penis pump.

If you count it up, I've injected my penis about 200 times in the past year. No scaring, very little pain associated with the injection. I'm using a 5/8 inch 31 gauge needle which is very fine. I push it in to the hub to make sure the injection is deep enough. The idea of scaring from injections I believe is a myth. I'm convinced that the scaring issues that people have seen is because they started too late in their rehabilitation and have tissue damage from lack of oxygen to the cavernosal tissue.

I am thrilled with my results. I'm getting nocturnal erections 3-5 times weekly. I've found a dosage of Tri-mix that gives me an erection lasting 30-40 minutes. Our sex life is as good as it was prior to my prostatectomy. Advantage-less mess, Disadvantage-time out for injection.

Life is good!

Hope this helps and good luck.

I have been injecting for about two years, about nine months ago, Trimex started to become less effective. At its peak, six months after I started, i2 units were very effective. Today, even 75 units (using 3 times my original prescription components) are only 75% effective. As a result, I am now primarily relying on pumping as my means to generate a useful erection.
