I searched thread but didn't see anything on "pack & go". My wife & I are vacationing in Kiawah next month. I wouldn't leave home w/out my (new) Trimix. BUT,.... How do I keep it cold on plane then 2 hr car drive?

Do a search for Frio.

I checked the label at my local pharmacy for the 300 and it states that it provides a 78 degree protection, which is significantly below the tri-mix minimum I was told to maintain (41%?).

Trust me, the Frio will work just fine for you. Go the site and download the instructions. You'll be much more comfortable once you have a full understanding of how it works.

You had posed a question on my post re: Reconstituting Trimix.
The type I am using is a freeze dried powder in a small vial that doesn't need to be refrigerated. You simply inject the sterile water in it. Whirl around and draw out what you need. It can be kept at room temp. and mixed when ready to use. You might check with compounder.

Cigar, I asked my physician and he stated that pharmacists' recommendations are very conservative and that Frio pouch would work just fine. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hi ChattMan,

Good to hear you'll be trying the Frio. Here are some anecdotes that might help you feel even more comfortable:

No. 1: I live in Florida and order my Trimix from a compounding pharmacy in New Jersey. It arrives in two days packed in dry ice. I always test it the day of arrival and it always works great. The point is I think we sometimes fret too much about how our juice will perform after being out of the fridge or freezer for a few days.

No. 2: Last year my wife and I took a getaway from our home in Central Florida to Palm Springs, Calif. Enroute we spent a night at a hotel near LAX. For as long as eight hours at a time, my juice was out of a fridge and protected only by the Frio. No problemo. I used the juice about five times on the trip and it preformed without a hitch.

I wish similar success for you! I heartily endorse the Frio.

Just returned from a four-day trip to Texas. Kept my Frio on the bedside table without additional refrigeration. The juice worked just fine through the fourth day.
