Bimix suddenly stopped working
Bimix suddenly stopped working
Hi all. I have been using bimix very successfully for about two years. Then about a three weeks ago I had a dreaded failure, only got semi hard, not hard enough for penetration. 35 to 40 units would do the trick. I have tried increasing the dose to no avail. I refilled a script for trimix I had. Usually 33 units would get me rock hard. Tried 35, only a semi. Tried 50 the other night same thing. Last night I tried 90 with the same results. It's got me really bummed out. I don't understand why it just suddenly stopped working! A couple of times in the past I must have injected in the wrong spot, and I felt a bump. But on occasion it went away. Could I have cause a venous leak?

Re: Bimix suddenly stopped working
Hi,
I can't explain why it quit working but that was my experience with Trimix.
For years I took Cialis and that did the trick. Then it started becoming ineffective and I went to the urologist. He told me about this prescription formula of his that you inject in the penis that produces and erection. He said that it was more effective than Viagra, Cialis, or Levitra and that it was going to be his "go to" treatment when his time came.
I got the Trimix and started at a low dose he suggested, increasing some until I found the right level for me. I can remember the first time. I felt like a 20-year-old man again with a really good erection and performance.
I don't remember exactly how long, but it was probably about 2 years that it stopped working and it seemed fairly sudden to me. He told me how far I could increase the dosage, but that really never helped me.
We then, at my suggestion, used 20mg Cialis plus injections and that helped a little but not really satisfactorily and not for long.
According to my uro, the injections were not the cause but I developed Peyronies disease fairly quickly. I had been straight all my life and now I had a 30% or greater curve. He explained that was caused by plaque and that the plaque was not located at the point or the curvature, so the Trimix didn't cause it. He may have been right, but the timing to me was always suspicious.
He told me the next step was a penile implant and he described the whole process to me. I decided to "sleep on it" and not do that until I had to. He had told me I'd lose an inch.
Finally, I gave into the thought of having an implant and started researching on the internet which led me to this site. I read a lot on implants and two doctors names kept popping up as the absolute leaders in the field in the US. One in NY and one in Baltimore.
I called my insurance company to see if they covered the procedure and got this wonderful woman who worked with me in all aspects of getting the operation covered. During that process, we discovered that one of these two superstar doctors was "in network" for me even though he was in Baltimore and I was in Kentucky.
From there it was a matter of working with the doctor's office and the insurance company to make sure all the paperwork was taken care of and that no one dropped the ball.
I had my surgery on October 12 and will have my activation on November 15. I am hoping this works out as successfully as it has for other men on this site. The satisfaction rate for implants is high, so I hope to be one of the satisfied ones. If not, there's no other place to go other than finishing my life on this earth celibate.
I wish you the best in your journey. May you find a solution that works for you. And, by the way, if you get an implant, use a high volume surgeon if at all possible. My surgeon told me there was absolutely no reason for me to lose any length. He does 300+ surgeries a year and my local Urologist maybe does a few. I like my Urologist, but for this operation, I would settle for nothing less than a pro with a good reputation.

Could I have attained a venous leak in a matter of a few weeks? I know I don't have peyrones disease.

I'm no doctor, but I'd say that a venous leak is a definite possibility. I've read they have various tests they can do for that.
It stands to reason that something has happened since this came on you all of a sudden, so I'd go to the doctor to get it checked asap.
I had something happen to me similarly and there was no explanation "why". About 4 years ago, almost overnight I lost my voice. All I could do was talk in a very difficult hoarse whisper. They said my vocal cords were bowed and weren't rubbing together. The usual cause was vocal abuse, which I had not been doing. So, basically, they had no explanation for me. I was a singer.
After about 1 1/2 years of speech therapy, they finally agreed to do the surgery on me. Interestingly the procedure consisted of putting implants behind my cords to push them together. I can now talk but can no longer sing. For what it's worth, it was a 3 1/2 hour procedure and I was awake for the whole thing. They had a scope/camera run down my nose and it hung over my head the entire time. I heard every word they said!! Glad I did it though and I'm hoping my penile implant will be something where I can say the same.

I bought 1/2" syringes, instead of using 5/16" ones. Shot myself with 40 units of trimix and got a nice hardon. It worked this time, so I don't know.

Re: Bimix suddenly stopped working
Sliphill, are you pulling the plunger out a tiny bit to see if you draw some blood into the syringe. This would usually indicate that you are hitting the correct spot. If not you might want to try that as suggested by many on this forum. I had a couple of false starts until I read about this technique and it has worked every time. Having said that you'll need to do this without an autoinjector if you use one.
Suffered with ED for most of my life. Viagra then to Trimix then implanted 3/8/2018 with AMX 700 CX 21cm with 1cm RTE. 50 years old Urolift procedure performed 30 day prior to my implant surgery.
Re: Bimix suddenly stopped working
My doctor gave me a new mix of 50/30/3. I had been using 10/30/1. All I can say is wow, this did the trick!

Now I'm getting mixed results! It's worked 2 out of 5 times! Wtf is going on? I don't understand! Im really bummed out! The doctor said he can order the trimix in an even stronger mix. I haven't had any sex drive for about a year! I'm 61. Is it all over for me? And to think I was getting fantastic results for 2 1/2 years with bimix.

I don't have the sex drive I used to have and I'm 61, but I still have sex and look forward to it. I still stroke off once in a while, but I don't get horny "out of the blue."
Trimix worked for me for a couple years or more, but eventually it stopped getting me a firm enough erection and it became time for an implant. I think if one has circulation problems "down there" it just tends to get worse over time. ED is really quite common.
My deceased step-father smoked all his life, only quitting a year or so before he died. He had sex the night before he died, so explain that to me. We all know smoking often causes ED.
I think we are all different and it just happens. In my case, a big part of the problem has been blood pressure, but I had some trouble before that.
I say hang in there whether you get "horny" or not. Schedule some sex and do it anyway. Go for an implant if needed. Good luck.

I would definitely go for Trimix which should be stronger than any bimix. Second... once, when an injection didn't work after 30 min, I re-injected with at least 50% near the first injection and it worked with no negative consequences. I think the missed injection still *pools* in a space other than where it should be (not the cavernous area), so when you reinject nearby, some of that pooled drug re-enters the cavernous zone along with the reinjected drug. Just my take...worth a try.
I would certainly do this again, should an injection fail.
