How often can one inject?

Is it safe and effective to inject every day? Is it cost prohibitive?

How often can you have sex with erections via injection?

My uro said every other day.

I think that is because a second injection plus the initial injection may cause priapism. (those little boner makers still wandering around in your body)

If you search previous threads here, you'll find that the frequency advice from different uros varies from "no more than once a week" to "no more than once a day." My euro (luck of the draw) is a once-a-day guy.

You'll also find on this site guys admitting to occasionally pushing it to two injections in an eight-hour window — bedtime sex followed by wakeup sex.

I've been on trimix for nearly three years. Typically 3-4 injections a week. On rare occasions — usually vacations — I have done the eight-hour window, at my standard dosage.

I have never had any sort of adverse reaction.

Most doctors will advise no more than three times a week -- and never more than once in a day. That's the most conservative approach. However, as you have noticed, many of us violate the most conservative advice without any adverse effects. On special occasions, such as a vacation, I'll inject twice a day with 6-8 hours between doses. I have never experienced difficulties after doing so. I'll also on occasion inject on successive days, say once on a Friday night and again Saturday night. Again -- no ill effects.

I do believe it is best to follow the most conservative advice until you learn more about how the drug affects you.

Yikes. I'm used to having sex and/or masturbating at least once a day or so.

I don't think I'll enjoy trimix much once I need it...

How much do the injections cost? Roughly how much per injection? I'm sure they are cheaper if you go overseas or something, right? Dodge the standard "American Tax" on pharmaceuticals?

The cost depends on the amount you inject. Say you get 10ml for $100 and inject 10 units, it would cost $1 a pop plus the cost of syringes and alcohol wipes..
It's costing me more since I'm up over 20 units and paying $27 for 2ml.
Still way cheaper than non-generic orals imo.

ml and cc are the same. Units are .1cc I guess.

Somebody help me with these confusing conversions.

There are several FT threads about trimix pricing. If you deal with the mail order pharmacies that specialize in trimix, you'll find that a price of around $100 for 10 ml is fairly common. (I use Talon in San Antonio, but there are others) As Tomas noted, your cost per dose depends on the size (number of units) of your dose.

I use a dose of between 14 and 18 units. My last 10 ml vial @ $99 yielded 49 doses at cost of about $2.17 per dose, including syringes and alcohol swabs.

If you now get your trimix directly from your physician, as opposed to a pharmacy, you may find that the uro balks at transferring the prescription to another provider. My understanding — somebody please correct me if I'm wrong — is that this is considered unprofessional behavior. A physician should not stand in the way of a patient who can find his prescribed medication at a lower price.

It's always best to get a paper prescription from the doctor and then shop around for the best price. Prices can vary wildly from one compounding pharmacy to the next. Some pharmacies can ship to you from out of state and beat your local pharmacy's price by 50 percent.

If your urologist insists on sending your prescription to a certain pharmacy then you should get another urologist.

I'm a "once a day or so" guy too but I can get by without Trimix for solo service. I only use Trimix when I need the firmness and dependability required for vaginal intercourse, oral or with a sex toy such as the Fleshlight. It's also possible to use a much smaller quantity of Trimix for a quickie masturbation session. I can scale the amount injected so the erection will only last say a half hour or less.

I am not a doctor, but I think injecting every day is pushing it. Have you considered an implant? Another option is to use Viagra or one of the other pills on days you don't inject. However, that could soon become very expensive.
