2nd injection

Hello everyone,
Hoping to get some guidance and advice, right now I'm debating between using my pump or moving forward to my first shot since the test injection at my uro's office. My first injection was 0.5ml with good results but wasn't enough to create a hard erection. Doc sent me home with 3 syringes ready to use, 1.5ml, 2.0ml, 2.5ml so next up 1.5 but I'm tossed between what to do, should I go for it and take the chance with the 1.5 and see if it will create a good erection tonight or use my pump? Should i find the right dose first? Help times running out!

Need to clarify units vs Ml. There are 100 units in 1 ML. Most doses are in the 20-30 UNIT range! That's .2 to .3 ML
Syringes come in 1 ML that's 100 UNITS! (also come in 30 and 50 units as well. That's .3 and .5 ML syringe)

Morning all,
I pumped instead of of shot last night, I want to be absolutely sure of what I'm doing! I felt like I had everything under control and pretty confident when I left the docs office but started checking out the web for additional info which landed me here thank goodness! This hole deal of units verses ml has me confused, if I take a pic of the loaded syringe can you guys help me with the right terminology? FYI it's Trimix but don't know what the mixture is doc told me what pharmacy they get their mixture from, but I haven't filled my script yet because I have the syringes to use. A little background on me, I'm 55 and this passed feb had radical prostate surgery I'm 0.01 now and working on getting my erections back. None of the pills worked after the surgery the only success I've had is with the pump. Geez i hope this will work for me, I've got to get this figured out!

On the syringe package the nurse wrote 1.5, 2, 2.5.....I totally remember the doc saying we're trying 0.5 to try it.

Rahod1 so the 0.15 ml is 15 units? Maybe.....

There are 100 units in a 1 ml syringe. Accordingly, 0.5 ml equals 50 units. My uro increased my dose by 10 units per injection until I hit a 1 to 2 hour hard erection which turned out to be 45 units. Subsequently, I was able to slowly reduce the dose until 15 units worked well.

I would call the doc before injecting 1.25 or 1.5 ml. It sounds like the syringes could contain 125 units or 150 units which could result in a trip to the hospital.u

However, the syringe picture indicates the syringe only holds 1 ml or 100 units.

You can't possibly inject more than 1 ML at a time (100 UNITS)...so you can't inject 1.5/2.0/2.5ML with one syringe !! Sounds like utter confusion here. They were probably referring to UNITS...15/20/25..etc. Again there are 100 UNITS per 1ML Syringe. So the .5 mark on the syringe is 50 units.....ONE HALF the content of the syringe you posted.

NOTE: I just noticed that the plunger on the pic you posted is set at 15 UNITS (the .15 mark). So it looks like it was loaded with that amount at the time.

D and rahod,

Thanks so much for your help guys! Ok I took some better pics and I understand now!1ml=100 units so that being said the docs office set me up with a 15,20,25 unit syringes.

Guys,

The writing on the back of the package fouled me up I guess plus the ml to unit situation, anyway I'm on the same page now! so at the doc's office he showed the steps and gave me a 5 unit test shot to see how i would react, which was decent! So now I'm back to beginning again "The 2nd shot" ... first time for me on my own "but now with plenty of time!" Should I move on to the 15 unit shot and see how it works out making sure it winds down within the time frame, if it's not good enough move on to the 20 and again see how it goes....all this done without having to worry about performance...then when I find the right amount go for it when the time is right....
