One of the biggest challenges I've found with ED since my prostectomy is that love making can no longer be completely spontaneous which would be my wife's preference. Using Trimix is still relatively new for me--8 months. How do you other guys deal with the rhythm of love making? Do you inject first then begin foreplay? Or vice versa? I have found that having a firm erection passed my orgasm allows me to continue to pleasure my wife much longer. Who new that sexual expression post cancer would be better than ever!

It can't be totally spontaneous, but we have found a rhythm that works just fine.

I suppose you could inject while wife is asleep and hope the spontaneity will be there when you want it?

We tend to forget everything about spontaneity now. We plan for an afternoon delight instead of an evening date, so I don't have to try to go to sleep with that engorged appendage (I'm a stomach sleeper which would be impossible for two hours). I always inject myself in a separate room prior to foreplay (my wife squirms at the thought of watching or doing the injection) and then we proceed from there. I am thrilled at having a great erection all through our playtime together, never wondering if it will go away, or worrying about rushing things before it does.

We do some scheduling, but mix in some spontaneous sex on occasion. Once, we had planned a morning tryst, but just before bedtime, my GF felt horny and seduced me rather easily. I quickly injected, got an erection in a couple of minutes and we were soon rewarded with orasmic (and for GF), multiorgasmic sex.

It's always planned, but the good thing is that we can have sex whenever we want. The *plan* means I need to know ahead of time..no big deal. Inject and it's a done deal...we have some foreplay after I inject and rock hard

The trade off (a perfect erection) is well worth the tiny hassle of having to inject. It depends on how you store your medicine, but I can inject in about one minute. Things are probably more challenging for single guys who are dating but again, being able to get hard is worth the hassle.

All of the guys who have replied hit on good points. you should take what they say into account. The certainty of the erection does make up for any loss in spontaneity , by far! I set up my syringe in advance of any foreplay, except maybe verbal. The we start with heavier foreplay, which almost always gives me a semi-erection, still with no medication used. At some point one of us will suggest that "it's time" and I leave , go to the other room and inject. it takes less than a minute. When I return my penis is usually getting erect already. sometimes I stand next to the bed for oral or manual attention. Both of us are usually very arousable by then. Usually it takes no more than 3 or 4 minutes for me to get and stay rock hard. Being able to relax and enjoy all sorts of foreplay, role playing, etc makes for a very erotic time, as does the fact that even after I cum I will be able to continue to pleasure my wife. Hope you are both enjoying your "new" penis. Just accept the fact that your fpreplay might need to be in 2 parts!

When I was injecting (actually wife gave me the shots) for three years sex was great! As venous leakage got worse (rad. for prostate cancer) shots no longer worked. Sex with VED was terrible. Now I'm happily implanted. Sex is great again!

One point I'd like to make is to keep a syringe loaded in the fridge where it's readily accessible. I have a tupperware sandwich container in the fridge that will hold filled syringes and Trimix bottle. Snap the container open, put the syringe in a handy spot, foreplay, inject, more foreplay, do the deed. Maybe takes an extra 3 minutes.

Good timing of this discussion for me, just started my Trimix journey last week and have been thinking about the rhythm question. I was considering pre-filling a syringe so I could save a few minutes, sounds like others are doing this.

Are there any safety concerns with this approach? I assume once the cap goes back on the needle the sterility of the needle can't be compromised.

Is this also a solution to traveling with Trimix without bringing the entire vial?
