pointing to the left after injection

I had RP last July and started trimix in December. After injecting the trimix and getting good and hard my dick points to the left, roughly between 10 and 11 o'clock instead of straight ahead. I can straighten it out with my hand and it doesn't prevent comfortable intercourse but I'm wondering if it's something to worry about. If I let go it bounces back to the bent position. I never experienced this prior to the RP. I feel like I'm getting a much stronger erection with the trimix than before surgery and wonder if this explains the bending?

Anyone else experience this?

Dear Friend,

The penis is like two tubes parallel to each other. The reason your penis curves is that the cavernous chamber on the inside curvature expands less during erection usually due to scar tissue.
Is this after one injection or many? Either way you should definitely talk to your doctor about it so it doesn't get worse.

I've had about 10 injections, alternating sides and injecting only once per week, 0.15 ml.

I noticed the bending after only a few injections and didn't think much of it until this week. Waiting for a call back from my uro.

A slight bend to the left (or right) may not be a cause for alarm. Several guys here have posted pictures of their erect penises pointing to one side or the other after injecting. So don't freak out. Your doctor can talk to you about Peyronie's Disease, which can cause a severe bend and must be treated.

I am not a doctor, but based on what you have posted I don't think you have Peyronie's. It is important to remember that Trimix affects guys in different ways. For you, it may cause your penis to point slightly to the left, but the occurrence represents no danger to your sexual health or your ability to engage in sex. Take a deep breath and see what your doctor has to say. And please, report back and let us know how you are doing and what the doc said.

Spoke to my uro and he said it might be Peyronies but because the bending happened early on with the Trimix he wasn't convinced that would be the cause. He said if there is scarring it could be due to not having erections for months after RP surgery (5 mos in my case).

Since starting Trimix last Dec I'm getting increased extension and girth with some stimulation and no chemical assist, much more activity than before the injections, which is encouraging because all I had before was the scared turtle head syndrome. So far those extensions point straight but the blood volume is a lot less than with Trimix.

It might be my imagination but I think the Trimix erections are harder and bigger than my natural erections pre-RP. Could there be a left side tube defect that has been there forever but now exposed with bigger erections and more blood flow? Just pondering the mechanics here assuming there is no scarring, which I don't know for sure yet.

I had a similar scare a few years back and went to a Peyronies' specialist..THe protocol is to get treatment early which usually consists of taking an oral med called Pentox...I consulted the Peyronies forum on line and got a ton of information..Peyronies can resolve itself also but I'd definitely keep an eye it. The other thing that helped me and I still do is I pump almost everyday ( except the day after I inject, and NEVER PUMP RIGHT AFTER INJECT))...Pumping your penis for 15min a day draws fresh blood into the penis which contributes to the healing process. Some people also take Vitamin E and CO-Q10( I have and still do)..Don't go nuts, keep an eye on it and maybe start looking around for a URO who specializes in Peyronies...I also learned you can have scar tissue but NOT have Peyronies...Peyronies is a rather unique condition when plaque actually forms inside the penis...which is a step beyond scar tissue. The penile pump ( and I use a medical one not the ones you buy in a sex toy store) has many many benefits...it increases girth, length and facilitates healing inside the penis..My scar tissue resolved itself after about 9 months of taking Pentox and pumping once a day for 15min...You pump, hold for 10-15seconds then release the air and count another 10-15 seconds..just repeat that sequence for 15 min..If you feel any pain STOP!..Only pump up until you feel some slight discomfort.I did this protocol and still do about 5 times a week and have noticed a difference in not only girth and size but the hardness of my erections. Good Luck

Hey guy I agree 100% with cigar and your Uro. Your penis is not used to such fullness and hardness and resulting in bendness. The exact same thing happen to me when I first started my trimix injections. My erections were unbelievable hard and were bent -like what a banana looks like when you lay it on its side. Cannot rememeber how long this happen, well over 10 years, but no peyronies resulted.

Thanks guys for all the responses, much appreciated. I made an appointment to see my uro next week in person to discuss peyronies and scar tissue with him some more, get a physical exam, and show him some pics. Guess I'm still paranoid about all of this. I'll check back in after I see him.

Saw my urologist this week, showed him some pics and he did a physical exam. He said he felt a plaque on the left side, which is consistent with the left bend. I can't feel it myself. His recommendation is to keep injecting and if the bend worsens to come back in. Given that I'm not experiencing pain during erection and sexual function is ok he doesn't think now is the time to try and treat it.

This week I tried 60mg of Sildenafil only for the first time since starting the injections and achieved about a 3 out of 10 (encouraging!) which was enough to show the bend, although it was slight. So now I have a new issue to deal with at some point.
