Needle size

I've recently started on trimix and I 'm up to 40 units (.4 ml) but nothing. I was looking at the syringes given to me by the pharmacy and noticed the needles are 5/16 inch. Everything I 've read, including the literature from the urologist, says the needle should be 1/2 inch. Wondering why I got 5/16 and if this may be why it's not working.

Any advice ?

Needle length isn't a major factor but the gauge is. I always declined the horse needles and bought a pack of finer gauge. Much more comfortable.

Dear Friend,

I did injections with 5/16 successfully but you have to burry it all the way and make sure you aspirated avdrp of blood. I use mainly 1/2 needles now but sometimes I have to pull it out a little to be able to aspirate. Watch YouTube videos on techniques.
All the best.
