Do you plunge the needle in or go "slow"and let it do it's work?

Touch down with light pressure then plunge it in to the plastic hilt. Then slowly inject. The tunica is hard to get through and gives resistance if not pierced quickly.

I go slow so I can tell when I'm in the correct spot but whatever works for you.

Do you feel a pop when it goes through the tunica? Mine must be tough. Bent needles twice when I tried to use the auto inject tool and last week lodged the needle in the tunica where I could not push the plunger. Pulled it out and reinserted it with a quicker jab. Could inject that time.

Sometimes I feel a pop but not usually. Often I can tell when I pierce because i can feel an extra little twinge of pain or resistance. I believe I've actually heard a pop a couple of times but it may have been such a perceptible pop I just thought I heard it but I don't think so. I've never bent a needle but I probably will now. Maybe you bend them because you do go too fast???

The bent needle is when using the auto inject device that slams the needle in and injects instantly. My only failures were with the auto inject device. Nearly microscopic bend at the needle tip.

Touch spot with needle tip and add pressure till I hit plastic hub of the syringe I'm using a 5/16" needle ..Using Bldoink's insertion technique described in his video, I check for plunger resistance... If there is any, I push needle in a bit deeper and check again , until plunger moves freely.. Almost fluid like.. As I mentioned before , I have zero misses using this method, im approaching 20 injections!
