Low Testosterone & Alprostodil

Postby Eaweld » Wed Dec 13, 2017 10:22 pm

Was curious if anyone on here has also been diagnosed with low testosterone and if they have started therapy with injections. After a year and half trying all different medications both pills and injections finally talked uro into pulling a testoerone test and low behold I was low.. from what was explained the injections aid in blood flow but without testosterone there is no orgasim or ejaculation. Currently in a holding pattern in getting my testosterone approved thru insurance. Frustrated as hell

For what it's worth, my testosterone levels were low at one point in this journey--in the mid 300's: low, but still "within the range of normal." One year later, after going to the gym 4-5 days a week, losing 60 pounds, and rebuilding muscle tone, my T levels were in the mid 700's. EVERYTHING was better as a result. IJS

I started injectable testosterone therapy in my early 70s. Definitely restored libido. Gave me a bit of improved muscle definition, considering my age. No effect at all on my ED. Trimix took care of that. I continue to do injections of both trimix and testosterone.

There is this shit called Androgel. Don't use it. It smells like rubbing alcohol, gets on your clothes and wipes off and I did not find it as good as injections. :)

Same here, 6 months supply of testosterone costs me $60. I do have to buy my own needles and syringes, but that's no big deal.

I HAD a doctor who happily gave me 4 shots each month for around $80. He refused to give me a prescription so I could self inject. I found another doctor who would.

The first doctor's office charged an extra $10 if I used anything but cash.
I think I financed their Christmas party.

Yeah.. if you pay with cash he doesn't have to claim it on income tax.

When I was on TRT injections along with Alprostadil injections I did notice an increase in libido but not much in general energy. Subjectively, I believe there was a slight increase in erection hardness and fullness as compared to when I used the same amount of alprostadil before or after I was doing TRT. I also subjectively feel there was a slight increase in the ease of reaching a climax. However, there was no help in achieving an erection without alprostadil. Without the alprostadil injection it's still a dead dick, TRT or not.
