Good sized hematoma.

I've been injecting now for over a year. Have done over 80 injections, sometimes doubling up 2x20ug Caverjects as I found the best dose (30-35 ug). I've gone to Tri-Mix more recently (with its own issues, see other post) with the same sized 30 ga x 1/2" needle. After injection I apply gentle pressure for 1-2 min and massage as the lit recommends. About half the time I get a drop of blood. I've had a few small bruises say 1/8" to 1/4" especially early on. And once I hit the urethra where the fluid and some blood dribbled out. But the other day even though carefully inspected I must have hit a larger subcutaneous vein on the left and came up with a large hematoma, 1" across and 3/4" long with raised blood pockets and more than normal external bleeding.
There was no pain. It was dark red yesterday but dark blue today. I iced it for a day (the shaft is surprisingly without feeling) and will follow general hematoma treatment today and for several days. The last injection on the left was without event. How long should I wait before "exercising" it again? Inquiring spouses want to know
. . . And how do you avoid these things. It kinda ruined the event. Thanks,

Hate it when that happens. My advice is to get back in the saddle right away. Despite the bruise you should be able to inject, achieve an erection, and penetration without any pain. If that's the case go for it.

I just wanted to let the "stuck" vein have enouigh time to heal soundly. NOrmal cycle is 3-4 days. I don't imagine a 45 minute session helped it much. It did not look all that bad before. Guess I need better light and a magnifying glass.

While there is a larger bruised area, 1" x 3/4", there are three channels connected where leaking blood pooled under the skin like a blood blister. Raised and filled with blood. I think I'll wait until these subside and just look like mildly bruised tissue. I just wondered if other guys had this experience on occasion, and why, and how they handled it. Appreciate your input. S
Add PS: reading through the forum, I see where this is an occasional occurrence for most - "hit and miss" if you indeed mix it up as recommended. Some real horror stories. This is my first big one in some 80 injections. I guess if you get one of these, which I knew very soon, you should cease and desist, apply gentle direct pressure and ice immediately, just like any sprain or bruise. Agitating it while erect and swollen was probably not the best thing to do, at least for me. But it sure was for wifey.

Shit happens! Fortunately it's been pretty darn rare for me. I always turn on all of the lights in the room so I can see all of those little buggars.

Yea, I've had 83 jabs in the past 15 months and this is the first "hit".
After the general blood blotch went down, stirated channels of congealed blood started to appear. The Dr said this was the interstitchial (sp?) blood being removed via the lymphatic duct system. It also igrated a lot further than the initial "bruised" area. After 83 jabs I have a good idea where to hit, but the lit says to move it around to avoid localized scar tissue and this must have been a subcutaneous vein.

Just to close this thread, It completely cleared in about a week. Later in that week a good session of sex seemed to actually help clear it by stimulating blood flow. I now try to use natural sunlight to examine the target.
