Which Surgeons Keep Implant Inflated Post Op

Hey all...just curious-which surgeons leave you inflated post op? How much inflated and how long? Seems like Dr Karpman is one of them. I was implanted by Dr Kramer and he did not. Thoughts on how this affects overall recovery?

Dr. Kramer left me about 20% March 2, 2016. Not sure why he didn't leave you with partial inflate. Photos are of 20% inflate. Hope this helps show 20% but need to ask him if or why he didn't do small inflate. Always understood he did. Email him and he will respond as he always has for me.

Well ....
many on here may have only had one implant by one surgeon, some may have had a revision by the original surgeon; while some guys have had multiple revisions by more than one srgeon.

My perception from reading on this site, I'd say the majority of surgeons leave a new implant inflated between 20 - 50% after surgery for varying periods of time, up to about 6 weeks. Then begin patient cycling around that time.

I think Dr. Eid begins cycling after 3- 4 days, but I could be wrong on that.

Glad I chose Kramer, I still had internal swelling after 3 wks due to more work from scaring I had inside. Would have hurt to try sooner. I couldn't tell about the swelling.

Shucks-well maybe he did leave me inflated post-op, but it must not have been much.

my dr had me inflated 80-90% for 4 weeks. I was on heavy pain meds the whole time.

Holy cow! I'm wondering if I would've benefited from this. Does anyone know how much Dr Karpman leaves you inflated post op and for how long?

I was left deflated for the first 2 weeks and everything seems fine to me.
Maybe it depends on pre-existing conditions?

My Doc (Dr. Gross @ Dartmouth-Hitchcock, NH) kept me 60% inflated for 16 days. The idea, as I understand it, was to allow the scar tissue/healing to occur in a way that accommodates the inflated state.

I have been deflated for another month since then, and I am feeling a constant annoyance of deflated tubing in my dick. Tomorrow I return to the Doc to start "Cycling Class." lol

I wonder if there may be a trade off to prevent scar tissue around cylinders or reservoir?
Sounds like "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation.
