AMD 700 model - $18,750

My surgeon is recommending the AMD 700 as state of the art. Anyone have experience with this particular model? Feedback would be greatly appreciated. Cost: $18750 Seem like a reasonable price?

American Medical Systems, "AMS", not AMD, makes two versions of the series 700. The LGX, and the CX. I also think both of these come in a narrow version, for special situations. If you take the trouble to read through the implant forum you will find lots of experiences with the LGX, and a few with the CX. Also quite a few with the Coloplast Titan. You could also try the search function for "700", or "LGX" or "CX", or "Titan".

Regarding cost, there are threads here also about cost. Try searching the forum for "Cost". $18,750, if it includes everything (doc, surgicenter or hosp, anesthesia, device itself) is about middle of the road. The range I've seen is $12K to $44K. Some insurance will cover, some will not. Medicare normally does.

Hox, Cleveland Clinic just gave me an AMS 700 LGX for $12,000. This is not a joke. Read my posts under "I'm in the Club." I'm two weeks out from it this past Thursday.
