After Robotic Prostate Surgery How long did you wait to get implant?

Im almost 2 years out from having robotic prostate surgery. I guess my question i ado you think you waited to long to have the procedure and did it make the size of your penis worse after having the implant? Im scheduled for implant on September 6, 2019 and Im still just worried I'm not gonna be happy with the outcome. I want to have a realistic expectation from someone who's been through the same thing.

I had surgery and then radiation treatments the next year and implant following year. . I was on quadmix injections before and after surgery. After radiation it wasn’t working as well and my dick started turtling up. Got implant and with in about 6 months cycling every day I regained most of my erect size back. Definitely a lot larger deflated than my pre surgery flaccid size. I’m enjoying the bulge.

I waited 14 months. I lost about 1/2 inch with the robotic assisted prostatectomy. When the prostate is removed a portion of the urethra is removed, possibly limiting the erection length. I did penile rehab as soon as Dr said I could. I did pills, VED, and injections. I gained the length lost back.
After implant of AMS 700 LGX and cycling twice or more a day
for about a year I have recovered back to the orginal length, but not orginal girth. All is great!

V.E.D. therapy has shown evidence of being able to keep penile tissues elastic, oxygenated (nocturnal erections generally take care of this) and original (or nearly original) size.

You do not have very long to go before implant, but a couple weeks of vacuum-induced erections couldn't hurt (provided you don't overdo the vacuum) and the most gains are in the early days. Usually a 60 day protocol is recommended.

My experience has been very similar to Gordon's. After my LRP I was on tri mix for about 7 years. An aggressive return of my cancer led to 35 radiation treatments after which the shots got less and less effective. If I had it all to do over again. I would have had salvage radiation right after my surgery, and then straight to Kramer for an implant. I would have maintained my size and had a lot better sex for the entire time. I am thrilled with my implant and am the same size as I was pre surgery.

TOO LONG! Doctor Brandes and Kibel kept telling me it takes 2 years to recover. Wasted time. Total time wasted was 7 years. Later a doctor tells me 80% will need an implant by the 3rd year after exhausting all other efforts. I told Dr. Eid that I wish I had never had a prostatectomy. He told me I would have died a slow and painful death had I not.

5 months I would have done it sooner if I could have gotten an appointment sooner. No loss of length gain in girth . You need a few months to heal but if you wait years it’s time lost that is gone forever.

18 months after RARP for me. They spared one nerve bundle, and thought natural erections might come back, so that I should wait at least 12 months. A few outliers stated natural erections came back as late as 18 months, as nerves heal/regrow slowly. I had pretty much tried all and given up at 12 months, but due to my work and scheduling, 18 months is how it worked out for me. I am back to my post-cancer-surgery length and girth, and hope to gain a little extra towards pre-cancer size in the coming year.

9 months for me. Dr said he removed all my nerves. It was a no brainer.

I waited 22 months post RP.
Did everything possible to recover normal erectile function, Cialis, Viagra, VED, TRIMIX, BIMIX, all array of OTC supplements and nothing worked to be able to have penetrative sex. TRIMIX worked and was giving me 60-70% of pre RP erections but it was so painful that I couldn’t perform longer then 7-10 minutes. BIMIX was not painful but had no effect even at 0.5 ml or 50 units.
My RP was with bilateral nerve sparing but I had also limph nodes removed.
As the matter of fact, I did not experienced any sign of life in my penis for 22 months. After no success and no sign of life, at 20 months, I decided to get an implant which was done 9/5/18 at 22 months post prostate removal.
