Infrapubic vs. Scrotal

Postby LGX_Man » Wed Aug 01, 2012 11:05 am

It has been over 18 months since my implant was installed. I was hoping to shed a small bit of light and give an answer to a question that is often asked. It took awhile before I could honestly give this answer but I now have enough knowledge to do just that.

I had my LGX installed infrapubic. Meaning: They put a cut OVER THE TOP of my penis and installed all of the equipment through that opening. Over a period of time, quite a bit of scar tissue has grown inside where the cut was made and all the work was done. Whenever I get any sort of sickness (cold, even sinus attacks), for some reason, the scar tissue in that area becomes very sore for "awhile". Sometimes it's for a few days, sometimes it's for a few weeks.

When I'm going through one of these periods, it's very difficult to BANG when the area above the penis is inflamed like this. I've often been asked if I can BANG with my LGX. Answer, yes very much so but not when the area above the penis is inflamed like this. It becomes a small bit of misery and LGX_Man becomes a very thoughtful "slow but steady" type of lover (ouch)

If I had it to do over again, I would probably NOT want to do it via infrapubic procedure.

Any thoughts from others on this?

I had mine done infrapubic and you can't see the scar or feel any discomfort.

I had the implant below and in the scrotum and can't feel a thing and I like to "BANG", especially when I want to get off. I still feel some soreness around the reservoir which is above the penis, but over time the doc said it will no longer bother me? The doc told me that they have to dig a little more to install the reservoir. I had my implant done in Dec.

I was wondering if there is less bruising to the scrotum if it's done infrapubic ?

Mine was done scrotal, and I can't see or feel the scar. Post surgical pain, swelling and bruising was minimal. See the topic "My Implant with Dr Eid" for more information.

I had my Coloplast Titan Implant done Infrapubic in December 2007.
Swelling and bruising was minimal and I have had no problems with it.
Also, I have never experienced any discomfort during intercourse.
Hope this is helpful.

Bob
