Hi Gents,
I received implant dates oct 25, Nov 1,5,8 with Dr. Eid . I also became overwhelmed with emotion. I'm scared and is there a service out there that will drive me home from new york to boston after surgery. Its hard for my wife to leave the kids for two days and also someone to watch them and keep what i'm doing pvt.

Re: Implant dates
Do you have a good friend who could take a day off to come get you and drive you home?
I once took a day off and flew with my best friend to Sulfur, LA to retrieve his stolen car.
We took turns driving and drove straight through back to Phoenix, non-stop. Sorry, I digress.

Hey Guy,
I just got through with some back surgery. I have two suggestions for you on transportation: Try one of the home care agencies for seniors (visiting Angels, etc). If they have a gap in their schedule they might be able to spare a caregiver to help you out with transportation (they did for me). Second idea is to find someone on Care.com look under senior services. Just remember that Care.com does very little screening; they are really just a match-up service, so be sure you are comfortable with whomever you hire from that service. I have used this approach successfully and found someone who can help me out from time to time when I need it.

Might be easier to fly. You can cab or private car to from airport. Tell gate agent you had surgery and need wheelchair at the check in site. No walking much. They will wheel you to gate. You do not have to tell everyone what type.
There will be lots of flights from nyc to Boston each day.

18 cm plus 1 rte titan installed March 2019. Revision March 2020 by Dr. Andrew Todd, Richmond KY. He replaced the titan with an AMS 700 LGX 18 cm cylinder plus 2 rte for 20 cm total length.

Best to tell the airlines of wheelchair requirement when you book your flight, not wait until arriving at the gate, or even at the airport. Besides, a good airline would likely meet you at the taxi dropoff and take care of your luggage, too. But only if you ask and arrange for it in advance.
I have never done this, but it seems predictable to me.

BRING AN INFLATABLE DONUT PILLOW
(you can thank me later )
I had 7 hour drive day after surgery. Wouldn’t have handled it without that. Oh, and you’ll also need a plastic urinal. You won’t be able to pee in a toilet.

Developed Type 1 at age 43. ED started about 4 years later (~2013). Pills quit working. Peyronie’s joined the circus. Finally coloplast 18+0 9/12/2019.

Guy,
It is normal to get emotional about it. You are taking a big step. With a reputable surgeon, like the one you have chosen, you are in good hands and should not have any issues. Keep us updated. We are here for you. Best wishes.

Hey Guy,
I wish you luck!
I have an initial consult on Thursday 10/24/2019 and We are leaving on the Wednesday 10/23 I haven't decided how to get there via car, bus, train or plane.
Not sure what I'll do when & if it comes to surgery, my wife can not drive & I have adult children & I do not want them to know.
