Loosing weight after revision.

Postby georgie » Mon Mar 18, 2019 3:56 am

I was 152lbs before my surgery on Nov 12th, I had a A1c of 7.0 my Dr wanted to start me on diabetes meds. I told him I could control it without meds. I cut out soda and 98% of sugar and all the carbs I could. I lost 22 lbs in 6 weeks and was about 130 which I heald until this month. My A1c was down to 150.

I had revision surgery Mar 6th by a new Dr. He lowered the pump, shortened the tubing, cut out a joint the first Dr put in by replacing the tubing, fixed a kink sewed in the pump and sewed the tubes close to the base of my penis. Before I could grab all 3 tubes with my fingers now I cant even find them. Although I have 3 cuts and stitches. Almost no pain after surgery. However since this surgery I started loosing weight again. Im down another 6 lbs in the last 10 days and cant stop the loss about 1/2 lb a day even though I am not doing anything I didn't do before. I am eating about the same. I was down to 126 3 days ago and 124 today. I feel find, my last blood test my Aic was 156 and all blood counts were totally normal. Couldn't be better.Has anyone else lost weight since there surgery or revision?

I lost over 50 pounds but it was because of an intestinal situation and not related to the implant at all.

I lost approximately 40 lbs during my uro summer from hell. I was so sick and in pain, I was stoned all summer and don't remember much from it. After I healed, I gained half of that back... in all my weight loss ever, I have never lost from my suprapubic fat pad :( :(… even with the liposuction that I had, not much disappeared. :(

7 months after revision.

Postby georgie » Tue Oct 29, 2019 1:22 am

Its been a while since my last post. Its now the end of Oct. My revision has been way better than the original, the pump is very accessible and works great. Strange though when deflating it sounds like a buzzer.

After 7 months I still have what I will call nerve pain. In the revision the Dr made 5 cuts. Where he sewed the tubing against the left side of the shaft there is some burning pain when I press on it, also some in the the scrotum. Its not a sharp pain or constant but it can be felt when ever I put pressure there. The feeling is inside and hard to pinpoint. Its not in one exact spot but in an area. Kind of feels like a burn. I had hoped it would go away by now and maybe it has lessened up a little but its hard to tell. It doesn't affect anything but is annoying, kind of like I burned my scrotum.

On another note when flaccid its almost the same size as hard and has a bend in the cylinders about 1" from the bottom. I usually press the bulb and let it equalize after deflating, which helps a bit but I can still feel the bend. Wings I think they call it.

Also I do not know if its alright but some nights I sleep with it fully inflated. I have not had sex in the last month and a half due to the wife was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer, and just started chemo a week ago. She will have 6 treatments if it works one every 3 weeks, then surgery, then more chemo. Not a fun time for sure. So I wont be having sex for a while.

At any rate I would not have changed my decision for the implant.

AMS 700 MX series. Is the example they gave me. I cant find the card they gave me that the DR did not fill out.
What I cant stress enough is make sure your DR is not just a urologist that does implants. you need an implant specialist. I found that out too late. When I told my original Dr my complaints he didn't know what to do and sent me to a specialist. He meditatively recognized my complaints. Thats why he did 5 cuts and shortened the tubes and moved the pump all the way to the bottom of my scrotum.
