arousal with implant

hi all,

what does arousal with the implant feel like, does your head engorge then you pump? or does it engorge only after you're fully inflated. does it impact your libido at all? with the feeling of getting turned on, I'm scared that that rush of blood feeling will be gone forever, given that I've got arterial insufficiency in the first place.

Spirit, I will take a crack at this:).
All your feelings and sensations are still intact, just the ACT of getting hard, getting an engorged head, is gone forever. This is a one way street, and the only remedy, as far as I can see, is getting a sex change, lol (j/k)!
Definitely no impact on libido.
That rush of blood feeling will still be there, you just won't get hard.
I am sure if you continue to read around the site, you will get a pretty good idea of what to expect and what will happen.

Agfa13 I have to disagree with one thing you said. In my case, my glans (head) still gets engorged. Pumping my implant doesn't engorge it but being intimate with my wife does. I've read on here that some will still be able to get an engorged glans and some won't. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. Either way, I still LOVE my implant and wouldn't think twice about having it done again.

You did not have your prostate removed so, part of glans engorging is still intact, compared to guys who had blood supply cut with surgical clams and burning of blood vessels while having prostatectomy.

I'm likely not the best guy to ask, I'm only 21 days post-implant and I have not even been activated/inflated yet (that will happen for the first time at my 4 week follow up next week) but I can definitely tell you that the overall sensations in and around my penis are still very much present (not fully, because I'm still recovering from surgery and things need to settle down I would imagine) - but I feel like the physical sensations I was accustomed to are maybe 80% there (compared to pre-op) and should do nothing but improve from my understanding.

I'm not sure how my glans/head is going to respond but I also don't much care in the big picture...I just wanted an on-demand highly capable, rock hard penis. I realize from this forum that guys have all sorts of experiences with the glans which makes that an individual experience in terms of how hard one can thrust, what the feeling is sliding in/out/up against something. I took that into consideration prior to surgery but, for me at least, that unknown/factor slipped way down my list of priorities. Any adjustments my sex life needs to make to accommodate a possibly squishy glans will (again, for me) pale in comparison to the goal I was keeping myself focused on - rock hard, capable dick.

Libido? Absolutely zero change from before. Same highly sexual feelings, thoughts, ideas, vibe. The synthetic pieces now in my body have nothing to do with the particular brain chemistry I already possessed pre-op (dopamine for desire, acetylcholine for arousal, GABA for orgasms, serotonin for resolution, etc). I'm going to be fascinated to see what the dopamine rush is like on the other side of this surgery, how that changes to an even higher level possibly, when my brain really starts to grasp the new reality that I can in fact have sex anytime I want and with utter confidence that I will perform at a high level. Pump up just hard enough for insertion. Then as excitement starts to grow you, it will not be painful. At times when I am fully aroused, I will remove my dick and add a few more pumps but not to the point of pain. Also you are very early. Give it time to heal.
