I'm sure I've missed any postings from guys who've had implants and have diabetes...
So I'm just wondering if you're in the same boat as me (Type II), how did your healing time go, since we diabetics tend to heal slower.
Thanks for any feedback,
Greg

Post implant healing with diabetes.
51, San Francisco
Diabetic: used pills & injections.
2 TURP surgeries caused Peyronie's. 1st implant lost to infection, 2nd one is about 5 years old. But "floppy head" due to all the scar tissue, couldn't get tips all the way up.

Re: Post implant healing with diabetes.
I am currently 4 months post-op type 2 . My healing process has been a little slower but am doing fine as long as I keep a check on my blood sugar levels.
I keep check on my levels 3 to 4 times a day.
I did have a hemotoma 1 week after surgury that set me back about 3 weeks, but now am doing fine.
Just keep a vigil on your sugar levels and you should be fine.
Good Luck and Gods speed

Hi, I am a type 1, juvenile onset, IDDM, however you want to call it. Been dealing with it since age 6. Just had my implant about 7 weeks ago. I healed up just fine. Still a lump of scar tissue at the incision, but using it and all is well. I will use Levitra every now and then to try to get some more firmness in the glans. I cannot tell that there is a scar on my scrotum anymore. Only a little "clattering" in the scrotum with what is left of my testicles due to the testicular atrophy from testosterone replacement. What I mean by that is collisions between the pump and balls. Not really painful, just an ackward sensation every now and then. Other than that, some occasional mild pain in my penis. I usually pump up at night and deflate in the morning.
Age 46, Type 1 diabetes since age 6. Northeast Ohio here Tried orals, injections-single agent, bimix. AMS 700 LGX on 06/28/12 at the Cleveland Clinic by Dr. Drogo Montague

I'm also type 2. Healing was fine, did get an infection at about 3 weeks post op and had a huge amount of inflammation and swelling in the testicles. Once that went down, doing fine. I also had the swelling problem after my vasectomy at age 26, well before diabetes. I just think my nuts don't like to be messed with! LOL
