Hey guys,
glad to read the input. I think about implants but I'm sure my wife could care less. Is it comfortable to J/O with these things and do you feel natural. I would mind have a bulge. At my age when it goes limp it is LIMP and half turtle. I may finally get one even if it's just to feel like a man again. Once the wife experienced it and got in the mood for sex again she might even consider oral.

Hi Seawyn,

I'm 6 mos post-op with a Coloplast Titan, and am very, very happy with it. That said, I read as many accounts of implants as I could before I had surgery, and found many who were happy with the LGX, and many happy with their Titans. There are a few docs around who still use the CX as their primary choice, and I read accounts of those who were recently implanted with the CX who were very happy. I would think you could replace your CX with a CX if you wanted to.

I also read many accounts of those who were unhappy with both the LGX and Titan. The CX sample size is small, so the fact I didn't read of anyone unhappy with the CX may not mean much. My conclusion after reading all that was that selection of the surgeon was more important (to me, anyway) than selection of the device. I think chances are excellent that I would be happy with any of the CX, LGX, or Titan assuming it was measured and installed properly.

The reason I went with the Titan is that it was the preferred choice of the surgeon I liked the best. He had done thousands of implants, and once did primarily the LGX and its predecessor the Ultrex. However, he encountered enough problems with the LGX that he switched to the Titan, believing that it was more durable, had fewer problems, and that the possible advantage to the length expanding characteristics of the LGX were overblown and not outweighed by the better reliability of the Titan. He also stated that the Titan was easier to replace. But, that's one doc's opinion and I know other good docs who recommend the LGX.

Thanks rim1818
I'm going with the Titan too. Mainly because l'm approximately 6 inches now plus I like the better girth with the titan
My wife says that is more important than length to her.
Thanks
Seawyn

My surgeon (Dr Eid) told me that while the maximum girth of the Titan is larger than the LGX and CX, it was extremely rare for even the LGX or CX to reach the full girth potential. He told me that the patient's anatomy was almost always the determinant of the ultimate girth. In my particular case, and I think the results vary tremendously from one individual to another, he told me after surgery that I would be "somewhat narrow" due to the amount of scar tissue I had prior to surgery. He told me that with daily inflation, that might improve, but he didn't promise that. After 6 mos of daily (or sometimes twice daily) inflation to the max, I've experienced almost no girth expansion. I'm at about 4 5/8 to 4 3/4, about what I was in a VED prior to surgery. There is no doubt in my mind that if my body allowed it, my girth would be much larger. And, I've read of many with the LGX who have much larger girth than mine.

I don't say this to discourage you in any way from the Titan. I'm very happy with mine and with the overall result. Just to point out that unless your potential girth is naturally very large to begin with, you might not get any more girth with the Titan than with the others.
