question about the pump

I am 4 weeks out from my implant. Saw the doc yesterday for first time inflation- and was shocked, disappointed, discouraged, all that crap. He told me that the more I pumped the more it would stretch and I would get bigger. Told me that I needed to pump up at least twice a day and leave it up for 30 minutes. The first few pumps are ok but then it starts getting harder and harder to press the bulb and move the saline in- anyone know if that is because I am still "stretching" things out, or if that is the bulb condition? I want to pump it up more because I can see more "skin" that could be stretched. Anybody else have this problem?

Did your doctor have your implant PARTIALLY inflated for those 4 weeks? I had my implant on 8/6...it has beeen about halfway inflated since then and my surgeon does not want to totally inflate and deflate it for another 2 weeks. He has done a ton of these implants and actually teaches other doctors how to do the procedure, so I hope he is doing the best thing for my full recovery. Mine was partially inflated when I saw the doc Friday. Had to go in due to pain in the reservoir. Come to find out that is just wehre my body is getting used to having something foreign in there and the nerves are routing around it, etc. He checked to make sure no hernias or migration had happened, and it hadn't thank God. Last thing I wanna think about is having my scrotum cut open again. But anyway- am hoping the bulb "loosens" up some with repeated use. By the time I get to the 5th or 6th pump it is like I cannot squeeze it any more but the doc said there is enough saline in there so that it will never all be used. I am thinking it is where my penis has not been stretched or used and now the cylinders are trying to break new ground. Just want to get the max I can cause this sure wasn't an easy step to take as a 44 year old man.

Wasn't an easy step for me either....I am 78 years old....but I'm looking forward to many more years of active and very enjoyable love making with my wife....it will be worth all the discomfort to achieve that goal!

It will get easier ... just keep at it, pump several times a day ... even if uncomfortable (not painful) keep at it ... the following should help ...

Exactly ... "cylinders are trying to break new ground" ... although "getting to the max" will take time. At 44 you are a youngster compared to the majority here (lol)

Don't expect much this early on. Pump it up as much as you can then wait few minutes the give it a few more squeezes, the squeezes don't have to be full bulb compressions, just make a small "dent" in the bulb 3 or 4 times instead of full compressions if you can still force liquid in the shafts. This is a process and it usually takes about 6 months to get near the max. So, be patient. Most of use expect to be released form the doctor then right away you will be good to go. I know I thought that, but I found out that it takes a good while for this to be natural feeling. Good news is the surgery is done and the healling is over, now the "rehab" work begins.
