Abdominal Hernia?

Postby Manonfire » Tue Jan 14, 2020 6:57 am

Hi Fellas,
March will make a year since the implant was installed. Its been 2yrs since I had my prostate removed due to cancer (all contained within the prostate). The abdominal area where the reservoir was placed has partially split open. I can feel beneath the skin with my hand about 2 or 3in below my naval part of it sticking through. The pain is more of a deep ache than a sharp pain. Also, Ive been having pain in my rectum about where the prostate level was (hoping it's not cancer coming back) that's been getting more sharp these last couple of weeks. I'm hoping to see the docs soon but the damn VA in Houston (moved here last year) is so slow. Any thoughts or related experiences from anyone?
Age 51, had prostate cancer. Surgery to remove prostate 12/17. Implanted 3/18, at VA Medical center in Cincinnati. AMS, LGX 15cm, 3cm RTEs.

Did you have reservoir placed in alternate location because of prostate surgery.
Did you have separate incision for reservoir placement.
I had 2 incisions, one in scrotum and one half way between penis base and my umbilicus.
Interestingly, we both had prostate Ca at age of 51 and ended up with penile implant.
